Hi everyone- Been awhile since I posted anything new- so I got off my lazy bum and uploaded some new pics. It was a bonus because it was sunny yesterday!  Grin

Been ordering lots of new fibres for some big consignment orders I am filling and hope this will also go to some classes I'll be teaching here in Vancouver in March and April too. I can't wait- I am pretty excited...but then again- that could be nerves. hahahaha!

So, some fibre 'porn'  Wink for you to look at- I got a gorgeous hand-dyed lot from feltstudiouk, ah-! I am her BIGGEST fan!  Grin

and a shipment from Dreamspin Fibres in Ontario-

SLURP!!!! I LOVE it all- I grabbed lots of superfine merino-18.5 microns!! it feels just like clouds! I can't wait to see what it looks like felted. Like a suede finish they say.  Grin
The turquiose/brown/black in the bottom left corner is dyed silk laps. Never used them before but should be TONS of fun in Wet Felt.

and I did make something for myself- FINALLY! lol. Been so busy around here- I needed to stop. and take care of my needs.  Wink Cold here on the water in January, so I made a felted sash- or belt tie. I can wear it over jeans/pants and tie it on my hip. Super cosy and warm.
For the tie, I used my favourite handspun that I've managed to ply so far. So I am happy, and will probably make more in February- after the storm clears in my inbox.  Wink
Hope you like-I saved some of my fave colourway from feltstudiouk for this project. Of course!  Grin

New Pics!!  Grin
Thought I'd get these in here just to show you what the Sashes look being worn.

And got out my dear trusty assistant- the 'Italian Stallion' sewing machine to create artistic stiched patterns on the surfaces here:

Thanks for looking. Smiley

How exciting for you!
I bet you'll be awesome
You're a fairly straight to the point kinda gal and I bet that transfers to your teaching style too.
Are you teaching a specific project or felting as a whole?

My goodness - that img did have me lusting. Badly!
I've not purchased from feltstudiouk but you're certainly tempting me.
I've done a bit of slub dying myself, but it so much more inspiring to use other people's creations.
