I got my tiny thing from DevilDoll!  It's a lovely little trinket box tin.  It's as elegant and as beautiful and professionally made as I knew it would be.  I'm a huge fan of her work and pestered her into joining a swap so that I could swap with her!  Lalala...  I love cheating...  Wink

The tin is approx. 2 1/2 by 4 inches.  The image is an authentic Victorian-era advertisement.  DevilDoll handpainted it with watercolors and edged it in ribbon and delicate chain.

My first instinct is always so save something this lovely for a "special" use.  However, I've saved too many pretty things over the years (journals, candles, etc.) without giving them much use, always waiting for some "perfect" use for them.  So this lovely thing is going in my desk drawer to hold my paperclips.  It's not as dramatic as waiting to have a boyfriend and then using this box to hold little love notes from him, but heck, if I waited for that, it could be a loooong time...   Roll Eyes  So I'm going to get a lot of use out of it and enjoy it all the more because I'll see and handle it so much more often!

THANK YOU, DevilDoll, for playing swap with me!

I received from kategirl this weekend! A pretty wire & bead brooch in a celtic knotwork deisgn. I love knotwork and the colors she used. Thank you!

So that is would be thick enough to qualify for a DC she put it inside the embroidered card shown in the background.

I hope mine arrives soon. I used the click n ship postage again, and goofed up and wound up printing two set of labels so I need to go back and request a refund for the 2nd set. I put it out in the mail at work but the tracking still says there is no info yet.  Sad The NetFlix I sent out the same day went out and arrived so I am really really hoping the packages I sent went out too. It has become too stressful to ship out from work so I think I'm going to go back to getting a lift to the post office at lunch, at least then I know for sure it made it to a post office.  Tongue

Sorry about that- here's my pic of the dragonfly!:

haha I didn't realize that I was so explicit on not liking cute- I do like cute, as long as it's not flowery kittens or anything like that.  Cartoon fawns with big eyes rock my world.  I'll try to post a pic of the egg as soon as I complete it!  I'm so excited to work with new materials, and I've been in a tiny little rut recently so this is great  Grin

Here's a picture of what I sent girlwonder. It's a little copper pin with a crow stamp on it. After I took this picture, I added four more sets of beads to fill in the spaces at the bottom of the pin, thanks in part to my free consultation with Writer78.  Smiley

My camera hates photographing little tiny things, but at least you can get an idea of how it looks:

Oh, I'm so glad it arrived and that you like it!

I have one picture of it that I can post here for you... it sort of shows how small it is (again with a dime!) But, of course, I'd much rather see action shots!!!

Here is the tiny mermaid I sent to PinkMafia:

I had pictures showing the candle in the jar and a "to scale" size pic using a quarter, but my computer was being annoying, so I'll just show this pic and tell you that the jar is about 2 inches or so tall and she is another 2 inches or so, roughly.

Wow - everyone has done such a great job!  I laughed when I saw the pouch that pinkmafia made because I have a black coin purse with that exact same lining from NZ!  Wink

I received my tiny thing from cyndiq tonight - she made this adorable and perfectly girly zip pouch completel with bead trim and a fleur--de-lis!  She also did a fantastic beaded zip pull!  The puch even has two tiny little pockets inside (sorry the photo is a little "flashy")

And this is the key fob that I made for her:
