Added a laptop bag and put some more items on sale.
Teaser pic:

Would anybody be interested in a burda messenger bag for 3pts? I have that first bag's fabric and more, if anyone's interested I can make it an item with different fabric choices.

I just got back from meeting Phizzy and Racky.  It's nice to meet fellow crafsters IRL.  We also went to an art festival less that a mile away from our meeting place.  The weather is perfect for outdoor event.  It's starting to cool off down here.  Smiley

SewKnitter,  I've made a few bead spiders for a swap before.  Here are some photos.  Would you be interested in them?

Hey Mimi!!  Can't wait till you get here so we can meet up!!  Smiley

Sewknitter, those are cool.  She's taken the spiders to a whole different level!
Anyone out there wanting spiders?  With Halloween around the corner I feel like a little beading!!  Smiley

Anyone want tea?  Lana's is setting up for a tea party and can set a place for you if you want to come.

ETA: Oops, I didn't bother reading the other posts when the message came up saying that there were others.  Reese52, cute spiders!!  Mine's are a bit different...more like LLs, though I did add my own touch to their construction.  I want to make some that are like Souldier's!

Calluna I love how you find such awesomely random titles! My local thrift stores only ever have old copies of Harry Potter and 1970s cookbooks Cheesy

Vintage cookbooks can be a goldmine of fun, though. Maybe if you find a spectacularly awful recipe, make into altered art or something? I have this card I found at a yard sale with a pie that looks vaguely menacing, and here's a picture of it. Sorry it's not a better pic; my batteries were dying and I never got around to taking a new one. I'm using this card as a bookmark right now, till I decide what to make with it.

Have you seen Lilek's Gallery of Regrettable Foods?  Cheesy

Some vintage recipe art for the kitchen would be a blast to make. Since I'm nervous about going out to canvass voters in a few minutes (I'm really, really a bashful person IRL), I'm feeling rather silly right now. I am picturing a 1960's-1970's molded Jello salad framed with random flashing multicolored diodes added for effect... Grin How hard would it be to make something like that?  Cheesy

Can you give us some ideas of things you would be okay knitting? As a mediocre knitter, it's difficult for me to appreciate what constitutes "large-ish"  Wink

Well, the 3 points of knitting is intended to be using up 3 points of yarn... the Callista makes the lace shawl pictured out of the five skeins (which are 3 points all together). I'd be willing to look for a different pattern for the Callista if you don't like that. I want to keep the five skeins together for now, maybe later I'll break them up. As for the Quellon, it's 1 skein for 2 points or both for 3, and they are 100g skeins as I recall, so 3 points worth of knitting to use up both skeins would make something useable... a drapey wrap, or maybe a bolero/shrug with long sleeves. Whatever it is has to take into account that the yarn is completely inelastic (as is the callista). I made a clapotis (link) using about four skeins and it's huge. Huge huge huge.
