Well, I'm also into the reuse/recycle thing too.  Smiley  I didn't know it, but bike chains need to be replaced because they stretch with use.  Smiley

Well, Inselaeffchen, you can always give it a try!  If you saved a copy of your last pm, you might just be able to alter the Q to match this one, save some copy/paste and typing!  We'd miss you if you don't sign up... Sad

That goes for you, too, RaraAvis! I do understand the frustration, but I hope you can work something out so you don't have to sit out a round... Cheesy

I love that "Hiss of cat" jar!

RaraAvis- I was thinking luminary with the jar, and then utterly failed to include an electric tea light-- sorry!

I thought it looked like a luminary. I will have to try it out tonight! Thanks!

Well, I found some time finally to use a fraction of the donations that were sent our way for TLC women's shelter!

These bags feature totally donated materials:

And these ones are from fabrics in my own stash (some of which were shared by other Craftsters a while back), and donated zippers:

We're almost to our goal (65 bags) and I have NO DOUBT that we will surpass it BIG TIME, thanks to all the support we have received from you guys!  Kiss Kiss Kiss

**Just a note: I don't think we need any more donations for materials- you have been more than generous, and we thank you so, so much! However, Personal care items are desperately needed so if you feel you'd like to help, may I suggest that you go that route, if you can? Shipping those heavy items can get costly, but if you would like to send gift cards for nationwide chains like Kroger or Walmart or Target, even Dollar Tree or 99 Cents Only, that would be awesome! We also have Walgreens and CVS drug stores here locally. I do have receipts for tax deductions that I can send to you, also.

I would totally do some form of Snow White. Maybe steam punk or Victorian.

edelC -sound like you made good use of your time. the needle felted angel is adorable

update on my knitting owl. after a week, i showed my progress to the freind who was teaching me, and she suggested I switch to a longer needle, I didn't know they came in diffrent diameters as well as lengths. I had to start over, but it wasn't slipping off the ends as much, and it's looking better. there is also still tearing out as I go, but i'm feeling good about the progress I've made. It's just over halfway done. when it's done I'll fold it over and sew up the edges to make a pillow.

class/challenge- head mistress/ pumpkin juice
project- poisoned pumpkin

Our library had a program last night painting small pumpkins. I decided to go with the poisoned apple from snow white. my son wanted to know if we baked it, would that make a poisoned pumpkin pie?
