1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Made some cheap and easy notepads :P on: January 18, 2010 08:00:22 PM
Just whipped these up when I was sick, they're made with cut up paper bags, cardboard, string and lots of love  Cheesy (okay, maybe not that much love...)

this one's for writing dreams in (the kind you have at night, not daydreams)

Money spent... pretty self explanatory.

notes Smiley

the three of them...

and the front of a little card I made when a friend went back to her country.
thanks for looking!

2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Discussion and Questions / Teen Party themed paper?? on: November 06, 2008 04:05:28 PM
Recently my friends and I went to a party and I wanted to put the photos in my album, but I can't find any suitable paper on digital scrapbooking websites (I often print it beause there are no scrapbooking supply stores where I live), because they all are either for little kids or for adults' dinner parties. Could you please either tell me how to decorate my own paper or where to find teen-party themed paper? thanks  Cheesy

So in 2 days ( Shocked) I'm starting 9th grade (which means I don't carry a lunchbox). Do you have any quick lunch suggestions that don't take a lot of space in my backpack? (ah, and PLEASE no sandwiches!!)  Wink

5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Some Poly clay jewelry (big pics x.x) on: May 02, 2008 01:24:45 PM

6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / The Craft Bag!!! (LOADS of pics!!) on: March 26, 2008 09:47:57 AM
I'm so happy I can FINALLY post this. It's the first big bag I've ever made without any help!! Cheesy The bag is huge, so I can carry all of my crafty supplies (and projects) and not get anything lost!! It took hell a lot of fabric, about 4 or 5 broken needles and like 3 days, but here it is!!
on to the pics...

pre-assembly, just to show the pockets clearly

closeup of random pocket (which is random because it was too small for spools of thread) and as you may notice, the closure part is a little odd (the flap is beneath the pocket...)

that's the other side

I had to get creative with the "pocket" for a plastic box I always carry around, because I was running out of fabric ( Cry)

another view...

back (don't you think it kinda looks like a face? ..ha ha) by the way, the small red buttons are the closure on the top (no, no zippers Tongue)

closeup of scissors Smiley

as for size.... that's a meter stick

oh! it's reversible too!

and that's just me Smiley
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Photography and Aviation? Help w/ bedroom theme! on: March 17, 2008 06:37:13 PM
So I decided my bedroom will have a Photography/Aviation (Amelia Earhart, Wright bros. you know, the old stuff) theme. Here are my questions::
- What color should I paint my walls? (I'm not allowed to paint them brown b/c mom said it was too boy-ish)
- What type of deco should I make?
Oh, by the way, I'm 13, and my fav. colors are green and brown Smiley
thanks!!  Cheesy
8  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / "Save the egg" what materials will work? help!! on: January 19, 2008 08:59:11 AM
For my science class, the teacher told us to make 3 designs for a parachute and basket thingy, or whatever, and we will drop an egg from my school's 3rd floor, and we must make something so it will land safely. Like a hot air balloon... just a DESCENDING hot air balloon Smiley.

SO I've made 2 designs, but they're not that different, and I'm not 100% sure that the materials are correct. Some of the rules my teacher gave us is that we have to build it, and the materials have to be eco-friendly (so foam and plastic bag parachutes are not a good idea), it has to land in a certain area in the ground (like 4x4 mts), the egg can't be fastened, like putting cotton all around it,or straps above it to secure it in place, that's not allowed, AND we have to spend less than 40 dollars on it, so no expensive -but -eco -friendly materials.
My question(s) are::
1.- Is it true that flour (or flour mixed with water) can reduce the impact??
2.-what kind of parachute is more effective, the kind that's like a big rectangle, a big cirlce, or a circle with a small hole in the middle?
3. Do you think paper is a good material for the parachute? or will fabric work better?
4.- And finally, for the basket, do you think wood is a bad descicion (it will fall faster, and it's harder to work with, considering we're in 8th grade) or should I go for cardboard??
Thanks in advance!! (and I thank you on the behalf of my partner, who is as lazy and doesn't care about our grades ) Smiley
9  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Some (felt) things I made last year (a LOT of pics!!) on: January 10, 2008 04:46:47 PM
I don't know why I never posted them before, but anyway, here they are  Cheesy::
First, the cake-box I made for myslef on my b-day (back in August  Shocked) Ispired by some felt cakes I had seen somewhere in here (of course, now there are even more, so I've no idea of which was the first I saw  Huh, although I DO remember that the pattern wasn't posted because it was going to be put in a book, so if you know what topic it was, please tell me Smiley )

inside... please ignore the messy white stitches on the bottom  Embarrassed

Next.. Teresa!! (December  Wink)
Kinda based on Princess Teresina from the book "Midnight Magic"... ok, actually they're only alike in the name, the dress color, and that they're both princesses Smiley .
the ruler is 15 cms long.

removable tiara Smiley (the dress is removable too)

And last, but not least (although still not 100% finished...)...

The Academy Is...!!! (August-now)

They're about the same size as Teresa... and bill's face looks very weird in that picture.
Note: I'm still not finished with them, they all need instruments (part of the drums are done), shoes, and Sisky needs a finished shirt and pants... and a removable dead ferret  Grin
Comments/(gentle)critisicm welcomed Smiley
10  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Mr. Owl the penguin!! on: January 02, 2008 04:55:23 PM
Well, before christmas, I was just sitting on a couch, trying to figure out weather to sew something, or play nintendo. SO I decided to play, but my old gameboy didn't have batteries () So I sewed... and got this:
The original plan was to make a penguin, but when I finished it, it looked more like an owl, so I named it... Mr. Owl...the penguin Cheesy

and I can put my ipod in it Grin
(sorry for the huge pics... and if I posted this in the wrong section)
