1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Cute crayon roll on: March 18, 2007 03:56:08 AM
This was a fun, easy and quick little project. I like to have lots of handmade kid's gifts on hand for last minute giving. I think it was the perfect use for this fabric.
all rolled up:

2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Vintage kitty baby gift on: March 18, 2007 03:45:30 AM
I made this little hanging pillow for my new baby niece. The kitty is an old Vogart pattern and the pillow is a log cabin square made from scraps.

5  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / moo on: February 10, 2007 07:14:38 AM
This was a fun and easy afternoon quilt to make.

I just rotary cut different width horizontal strips from 4 cooridinating fabrics, pieced on the machine, added cotton batting and a cow print backing. I machine quilted and also added the binding by machine.
Leo really loves it  Grin

7  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Girly & Vintage Horse Quilt on: November 05, 2006 08:01:38 AM
I am making two of these quilts for twin 7 year old girls. Here is the first finished one:

and with a little wool felt horse:

The vintage embroidery patterns are from patternbee.com, the horse fabric is called Stablemates from Alexander Henry. This is a lap size quilt.
8  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Giant Ball-O-Yarn on: October 30, 2006 05:02:17 PM
It all started with a giant bouncy ball, plaster fabric stuff, newspaper, glue, cheap yarn and gobs of hot glue

Then I worked up some yarn hair.

side view:

front view with a picture of her hand knit trick or treat bag that looks as if she is knitting it from herself  Grin Look at those huge neon knitting needles!

close up of ball detail:

We're not sure if the hair will make it for Halloween night, it kind of bugs her a little. The ball is surprisingly light and pretty flexible considering the plaster. I wish I had some daytime photos of it in action but these will have to do!
9  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / My "sewing is more fun than cleaning" pillow on: October 03, 2006 12:40:25 PM
This is what happened while i supposed to be cleaning my craft room. First I found this embroidered square leftover from an old project and then I started sorting scraps and ..............
A 30 minute pillow that is far from perfect but pretty cute nonetheless.

I still need to finish cleaning  Undecided
10  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / vintage horse embroidery on: September 23, 2006 07:23:18 AM
Pattern from Vogart #267 - 1940's (patternbee.com)

This square will go into this quilt I'm working on:

I'm making 2 quilts for twin girls turning 8 in November. Horses are their passion, I think this will be perfect.
