Believe it or not, I was wondering about you and this quilt a few days ago while sorting my fabrics.
Great job!

I like a good, heavy, thick cotton towel that is flat weave and softens with age.
22"x18" or thereabouts is a nice size.
A twill tape hanger on the inside corner is a nice touch.
Oh yeah, I like them to be inexpensive too!

I stitched up these little onesies last night. The patterns in the book are perfect size.

They were a great addition to the gift basket!

27  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Amy Heather Butler-Bailey Quilt on: February 11, 2007 07:05:05 AM
Thanks everybody.
As for the handstitching- don't be too impressed, I take BIG stiches spaced FAR apart. A lap size throw like this takes me about 10-12 hours of handstitching including the binding.

I never spend a lot of money on fabric for myself but this was a birthday gift for my sister. I spent approximately $45-$50 on all the fabric and batting. Not too bad!

Thank you!
I am a speedy stitcher when I watch tv or a movie.

I'm not much of a cow fan either but the fabric was cute (and cheap!).
30  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Amy Heather Butler-Bailey Quilt on: February 10, 2007 07:22:20 AM
I made this quilt for my sister by combining my favorite fabrics by Heather Bailey and Amy Butler.

I slashed 12 inch squares into six pieces and mixed them all up and stitched them into new blocks. it has cotton batting and is hand quilted.
