1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Re: So, what do you do with cross stitch? on: May 04, 2014 04:48:31 PM
I usually give it away because like you, I enjoy making cross stitch projects but don't care to display them.
How about joining the embroidery hoop trend? Easy and inexpensive without a large commitment of display.
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Cat food bags upcycled to tote and messenger bags! on: January 10, 2013 08:25:32 PM
Dawn dish washing soap and a hose outdoors did the trick of cleaning the bags nicely.

It's the classic card organizational method but it works for me.

I still look everywhere and used to find really nice ones by Martha Stewart at KMart but those are no more . .
Seriously considering buying linen by the yard at the fabric store and cutting my own.

I do find however, the words of tramp stamp to describe infant clothing a little unsettling.

Teresa T, that is exactly my intention ~~ the irreverent mix of pink gingham and a tattoo inspired image is amusing to me.
8  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Baby's first tramp stamp? on: October 22, 2011 04:40:52 PM
Stitched up a pair of "Ruby's bloomers" from Heather Ross Weekend Sewing book and added a tattoo inspired bird to the back for baby's first tramp stamp.

9  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Cutesy Crocs on: October 22, 2011 04:28:32 PM
Crocs - are they so ugly they're cute?  Or so ugly, they should be reserved for non-public wearing?
Slap a plaid ribbon bow and jewelry part on 'em and wear them loud and proud!

10  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Re: Tell me I am not wrong! on: July 04, 2011 09:14:33 PM
Watch all those British home dec shows on BBC and see plenty of interior doors with obscured glass.  Wonder if it's because sunshine is so scarce there?
