1  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Kiln paper lines on: October 15, 2010 01:24:23 PM
I use a microwave kiln and all of my pieces end up having the design of kiln paper on the bottom. Is there a way to get rid of the design or make it not happen? I sand then with sandpaper but I seem to be getting nowhere. Any tips would be appreciated.
2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Birthday gift for dad. on: September 02, 2010 10:34:18 PM
Hello all.
I am trying to think of something to craft my dad for his birthday. He is going to be turning 45. He loves poker, coors light, country music, and the cincinnati reds. Oh and he loves facebook.

I already plan on making him a pair of knock off vans shoes but am also not sure what to put on them. My ideas include:
his name
a saying of his
cincinnati reds logo

the shoes are black, and any help on that idea would also help.

He's coming to visit me next week at college and since I don't see him much anymore I want this gift to be memorable.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you!

6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / tip for resin users on: December 17, 2007 02:30:49 PM
If my resin jewelry turns out tacky I go over it with a clear coat of nail polish. I usually do a few coats. I use sally hanson diamond strength.
also if I sand  my pendant it makes it all shiny again.
