1  Re: Topsy Turvy Doll Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by AniMei on: August 29, 2016 04:48:16 PM
Hello....it's me again!
My original partner Sewmess ended up sending her package afterall....I feel very fortunate to have received twice, and I am definitely going to pay it forward by becoming a swap angel myself!

She crafted Star Trek and Tardis (Dr. Who) themed dolls, very cute Smiley

Once again, huge thanks to Angielou1 who was my swap angel in my previous post, and also to Sewmess who came through in the end Smiley

I received from my swap angel angielou1! One of my interests on my lists was magical girl type aesthetic (think Sailormoon...girls who may seem ordinary but have hidden powers!) and I think she totally nailed it! You can't really tell from my crappy pic, but the blue hair is so shiny and beautiful, and I love her choice of fabrics, and the arms have joints at the shoulders so they move up and down. She says that the blue haired girl loves card tricks, and the pink haired girl can pull a rabbit from a hat! I was totally imagining that the blue haired girl is a trickster, and the pink haired girl is very quiet and down-to-earth, often having to come to the rescue of her mischievous friend....but they still make a great team. Don't you think??

Thanks so much Angielou1!!

So I have received my package from Whenindoubtsew, and it was so worth the wait! I am so happy with everything! My photos absolutely do not do these clothes justice. Everything was made using my fave colours.

Jennifire wearing a lovely Gothic Lolita-ish dress

Jane wearing a super cute crocheted ruffle dress

Scaralei wearing a dress with rhinestone accent

Lagoona wearing a Victorian style dress.....I wish I had this one in my size!!

An AMAZING crocheted cardigan!! I love this...it was on my Pinterest. I actually tried to make it once and it didn't go well.....but now I have one :3

This is Roller Maze Operetta...she was on my Pinterest wishlist! I was so excited when I opened the package and saw her!!

BIG THANK YOU to Whenindoubtsew!! I love my swap package, you are so thoughtful Cheesy

SO I've received my package from Fancybutch, and I LOVE IT!

Here is *most* of the package..I am saving my fave to show last...
I like how the canvas looks like Peach is kind of lost in a castle....I wish she wasn't such a ditz! I imagine her as being much cooler haha

Here we have a closeup of a Noby Noby Boy themed box (Noby Noby Boy is a weird little PS3 "game"..it's hard to explain, so here's a link! Fair warning, it is noisy http://o--o.jp/o--o.jp/  still confused? Yep, that's about right!) and a little journal.

Inside the box are some beads in Noby Noby colours Tongue

AND NOW my favourite item!

A hand-painted Animal Crossing messenger bag!!!! This picture does not do it justice, Fancybutch did such a good job on this! I am really excited to wear it to work Tongue

Everything together:

Thanks again Fancybutch! You. Are. Awesome.

7  T-Shirt Scarf in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by AniMei on: January 20, 2013 07:01:05 AM
I made this a while ago, but realized I never got a chance to post it.....
The is made from ten or eleven different t-shirts, I used a bill I got in the mail as a template for the sections Tongue
I love crafting with t-shirts, but I usually end up giving away or selling what I make....this was a great way to hang on to shirts I couldn't part with! I used the back of the shirts to back the scarf (makes sense right?), and it's ok for fall and spring. I'm in Canada, so it isn't really a winter scarf, except for on two-scarf mornings.

I love the package I received!! Sorry it took me so long to upload my photos, I have been really busy, and was away this past weekend.....also, I seem to be having trouble with craftster's photo uploader?? Anyways.....

Plum wearing an AWESOME knitted cardigan, I think it is just so cute! The green polkadot dress is reversible Smiley

The other side of the green polkadot dress, and a knitted hat! I was so happy to get knitted stuff because I cannot knit AT ALL.

I LOVE the fabric of this dress, combining Asian AND Florals <3 Also, the knitted hairbow and shrug are great accessories.

The other side of the Asian Floral dress Smiley There is also a handmade lolita-ish hairbow, but it's hard to see in the pic....

Two more knitted dresses <3 And some awesome little pins and hairclips that I have already "borrowed" from my girl! Smiley

Thanks so much imafundork, I had a great time crafting for you and I love everything you've sent! I'm down for another round haha

9  Hidden Treasures Necklace in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by AniMei on: July 15, 2012 10:26:34 AM
SPONTANEOUS CRAFTS ARE BEST CRAFTS. I call this the Hidden Treasures necklace, all of these charms were sad and lonely gathering dust in the bottom of my trinket box. Now they are happily together on a necklace! YAY!

Another shot of the whole necklace.....YOU SHOULD MAKE ONE TOO! I just betcha have little odds and ends in the bottom of YOUR jewellery box!

10  Yarn Wrapped Chain Necklace in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by AniMei on: June 13, 2012 02:52:40 PM
I've seen these beauties all over Pinterest and fashion blogs lately and decided to try one out for myself....

It turned out pretty good I think, and was really cheap and easy to make. The yarn is actually crocheted onto the links instead of just wrapped around. TRY ONE!!!! They're easy and fun!
