13  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Let Them Eat Cake hat on: November 30, 2008 12:42:14 PM
I only named it that because the spekcled yarn reminds me a a pretty dainty cake!  I made this over thanksgiving break from school. This is a crappy picture..but I just wanted to post it before I fogot about doing it Smiley

and the stripes are actually a royal purple instead of the black that is showing.

16  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Yay for birthday presents!! on: July 25, 2008 06:41:50 AM
So glad my friend isn't a part of this forum because I would ruin her present so bad!

Since we are all moving into an appartment, even though she is moving into a different one in the same complex, I have made my friends pot holders!! hahahaha...lame, but I am poor..tee hee

Here it is:

it lays flat most of the time!

The R is for her name, and just to be fun.  I was going to put the female reproductive system on it, you know uterus and ovaries because we have a running joke about it, but I thought that might not be good since her mother will be at the party and though I have met her I am not sure how she would take that. Wink We are staying at her house for this weekend to celebrate it, me and a few friends.  In fact I had to make up a little lie so someone could surprise her...hahahahaha

thanks for any comments,

19  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Jewelery Holder from old trumpet case on: July 20, 2008 05:37:08 PM
I got this case about 4 years ago from my last art class in high school.  The school was being torn down and rebuilt so there was a load of unused bits of stuff left in the loft in our art room.  So I went scavaging for something I might be able to use in the future.  I found this old insturment case and new it could be made into something quite awesome.

here are before pics:
here is the fabric (I bought way too much!)

and here are after ones:

Its for my dresser in my new appt.  I am so excited to use it!! My jewelry is always in a mess, now I can be organized!!!

funny, in both pictures a yarn wrapped bangle I made found its way into the pictures! Camera hog! hahahaha

thanks for looking
