22  Hip Headbands for my Braids {8 pics} in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by green r my tear$ on: March 15, 2011 11:09:05 PM
I had decided for my 40th birthday {11-16-10} not to wear weaves or wigs.  That meant I would wear my hair natural {which is beautiful}. I made flower hair accessories to highlight my new acceptance of the natural me.  I am fine with that idea but I really like my hair in singles braided with human hair.  So, I got my hair braided on Thursday March 10, 2011.  I made the headband on the wig 3 weeks ago and the others in the past 2 days.  Below are pics of my hair transitions and my headbands.

These are custom made for a client.

My natural look {pic from the TrueBlood Swap Rnd 4}

My braided hair {just took pic tonight}

Headband on wig

These are for me along with the one on the wig. 2 are just scarf-bands and the others are headbands with elastic {no need to knot the ties tightly, as the elastic provides the fit}

Thanks for looking and do not be afraid to leave a comment!!

As most know that NicoleMarie made Handy Quilted Dish Mat.  I was thinking why not do a swap around this awesome idea.  This is the perfect GREEN FOR THE ENVIORNMENT SWAP!! I gave away my dish rack way before seeing this idea.  Bed Bath & Beyond sales an item called the Dish Drying Mat which I purchased 2 in different sizes.
Here is NicoleMari's post:

26  Re: One Tiny Stuffie Round 3 Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by green r my tear$ on: March 02, 2011 08:57:21 AM
Good day everyone. My smittenheart partner has not been able to post pics of her stuffie as of yet.  So I am posting what I made her until she can.

This the pkg that includes Ms. Alice the owl and "L" stuffies, fat quarters of fabric, a card pattern (I made a pattern (just the body only) out of cardstock and wrote a lil message on it) and some other lil goodies.  She did not know that the card doubles as a pattern so she could make more lil owl stuffies as needed.

Hey I just made my dish mat today.  I made curtains first then thought about the dish mat you made.  I put a loop on a corner so I can hang the mat up to dry. I bought some seagreen terrycloth from Joann's awhile ago for the back to absorb the water.  Soo here he is at work!!

WOW THIS HAS BEEN AN EXCITING WEEK FOR ME.  I RECEIVE 3 AWESOME PKGS FROM 3 SWAPS.  Today I got my pkg from polkadotts (you go lady) who did a great work.  I had my concerns at first but they were all laid to rest by her(GOD) pkg.  Just a side note this box was reused for 2 swaps.

The pkg opened and a handcrafted card {nice touch}.

All my goodies that were inside the box. Those gummie savers did not last 4 mins with my mom, jaloux and I  Shocked.  I really like the heat sac I sure needed a new one.

Items wrapped with the lavender paper

Items wrapped with the pink paper (wonder did the swap I organized Fridge Magnet {4 for 4} Swap inspire these fun magnets).  I rush and put them on my file cabinet!!

Thanks for all the awesomeness of this pkg polkadotts!!
