1  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Flannel Plaid Shirts on: November 26, 2007 03:06:39 AM
I have two flannel plaid shirts and would like to do something useful with them. Any suggestions?

I saw someone reconstruct an ottoman with fabric. Something along these lines would be amazing.

Thanks in advance.

I am going to Quebec City for the carnival in Feb. Are there any stores that I should keep an eye out for? I'd love to see some good craft stores while i'm in town.

For those of you that requested close ups.

I wish I had better ones, but this is the only one that I have left.

In this picture, I show all the pieces left over from my Monopoly game. You can also see my drawings to make the tea/coffee set.

Hope this helps. I'll post pictures on flickr too. Maybe you can see them a little bigger there.

7  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Bath Salts - Missing the 'wow' factor on: September 17, 2007 06:47:51 AM
I recently made a couple of batches of Bath Salts. Using the recipe below. I finally used a cup of this stuff (as the directions said), but didn't really feel like they did anything.

My question is: Is there anything else that I could add to these batches that have already been made?

2 cups of Epsom's salts
1 cup of sea salt
1/2 tsp glycerin
Food colouring
essential oil

Mix together.

Any ideas?
8  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / ****... It's Raining on: September 16, 2007 07:59:07 AM
I don't know if this is inappropriate or not to post, but I thought it would be fun to share. I made this while watching the MTV VMA's last weekend. I have yet to use it during a big rain fall. I still love it though. I saw this umbrealla in a store in Ottawa, Ontario and decided to try it myself before shelling out the $25+ to buy it.

Hope you like it.

9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Crafts in a Car on: August 30, 2007 05:34:39 AM
I'm going on a road trip this weekend and was wondering what types of crafts are easy to do in a car? It's about a 4 hour drive and probably will eventually loose light in the car, but until that time. Any suggestions?

The only one I can think of is Knitting..
