I got my package Wed, but today is the first day that I've been able to sit down and post my pictures...things are so INSANE in my life! It was a great break to get my package. I had such a great partner! I hope she's not too bummed by my package. After seeing all the great gifts on here, mine don't nearly match up to what everyone else has made.

That being said, here's all the great stuff I got!

I came home from a LONG day at work to find this waiting for me. Wahoo!

Opened it up and here we go!

First up, Navy uniform stickers....funny thing, my bestie's husband is in the Navy (she just moved 12 hours away from me  Cry ).

Lots of mystery little packages!

What's this?

Its an AWESOME bag that I can put my crochet/knit projects in and carry them with me!

An AWESOME box that will be housing my jewelry on my dresser!

A chainmail bracelet in my FAVORITE colors, black and red, a "black tie" Abby-style bracelet (LOVE it!), a Bourbon necklace (Gibbs-style...where's my Mason jar? LOL!), and my hemp coin bracelet with Gibbs, Abby, McGee, Dinozzo, and Ducky on each coin (SO cool!).

A cool scarf, Abby-style....can't wait to wear it with one of my MANY black tops!   Grin

Not a great picture, but it is an eraser that says Oops.....very cool! I do make lots of mistakes. LOL!

And one more last shot of my whole package haul. I was definitely spoiled! Have worn my chain mail bracelet the last two days, don't want to take it off! Thanks Cate SO much! I can only hope you are not disappointed in my package to you.

2  Re: NCIS swap (SIGN UPS 21/3/10 - 30-3/10 ; SEND OUT 1/5/10) in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by LadyBugz on: April 18, 2010 05:58:57 AM
Don't ya love how you plan for things, say you are going to do them, and then something happens to ruin those plans? I had planned on crafting all last week when I got home from work. Alas, that didn't happen. Thanks to "baby mama" drama, I was so stressed out and depressed all week, I wasn't motivated to do much at all! She was txting my BF two weeks ago, saying all kinds of smack about me, saying we'd never get their son again, that she was going to keep me from ever being around him again. Then she starts sending ME the messages, talking bad about me. I told her if she didn't leave me alone, I was going to file harassment charges on her. That set her off even more, saying she was going to get a restraining order on both of us so we couldn't come around her son anymore. Then she started saying even MORE hateful things to me. Long story short, BF and I have been together for 3 1/2 years, his son is 8, mother was 16 when she had him....he had a lapse in judgement and thought he wanted her about a year ago, sent her a dirty picture of himself...she threw that at me, and I fell apart....last Saturday was a disaster (which was when all this came out). We fought, we argued, we settled things. She sent another txt and threatened to basically beat me up if I even got out of my car if we came to soccer practice. We didn't go, but we did show up yesterday for the game. We had to walk right past her as we walked to the field, and she says, "She must have some balls!" Completely ignored her and kept walking. How imature! She's only hurting her son....or as she says THEIR son, and that I'll never be anything to him. Some people just shouldn't be mothers, ya know? So all this mess has got me on the edge, and I haven't slept well, haven't been able to eat without feeling nauseous, and haven't gotten much of anything done!

BUT....on the crafting side....HAHA....I am so excited that I picked out a craft that is on my partner's wist, and I didn't even know it! Well, its not EXACTLY what she has, but it is very similar. As a hint, I am going to crochet it instead of knitting it. I would knit it, as knitting looks better, but even with a month to work on them, I'd not have finished in time. I am a SLOW knitter! I am much faster at crochet.

Now its off to make some beer bread for the BF's mother....tradition to eat Sunday supper (lunch) with them....EVERY Sunday. Its ok, though. They have a HUGE family, and I love it! Wanna share a couple of pictures I took yesterday...love photography and taking pictures.

The BF's son Steven playing soccer. He loves it, even though he only wants to play goalie so he doesn't have to run. LOL!

Some lilac that I got from my grandma's bush yesterday. Forgive the paper towel under the vase....I actually made that vase. Its a soup can, painted copper color, then freehanded flowers on it. Came in handy, because all my vases were too tall for the short sticks of the branches I had to break off for the lilac.

Anyway, happy crafting today!!

3  Hats! in Crochet: Completed Projects by LadyBugz on: February 24, 2010 12:40:08 PM
These are a few of the hats that I've made over the last few months. I've made more, but just haven't had a chance to photo them all.

This one was made from a pattern that called for like a size 5 thread, but I did it with yarn instead. It turned out really good, I thought.

This one is the lattice pattern, but I kinda put my own twist on it, made the bottom band a little different.

This is my take on the beret. I don't like wearing them as a beret. I like them pulled down a little bit over my ears for extra warmpth.

This one I made a while back, but it is still very popular. I don't wear it that often, it looked better when my hair was longer, even permed.

Hopefully I can get more photos later.

4  Re: I've gone Iphone cozy mad!! in Crochet: Completed Projects by LadyBugz on: February 13, 2010 08:52:24 PM
I made my own today. I splurged and went out and bought myself the Ipod Touch 3rd Generation 8GB, and I just HAD to have a case to put it in, beings that Wally World didn't have any (not cool ones, anyway). So what do ya think?

I'll have to try and get a better picture, this one didn't turn out all that great. Didn't have a pattern, just kinda winged it, I am thinking next time I will decrease around the top to make it a little tighter. It got a little loose at the top, but once I get my stylus, and put the earpieces in there, too, I'm sure it'll be better. Can't wait to make another one!
