1  Re: Dragonriders Swap Redux GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by RondaS on: October 27, 2009 02:29:46 PM
I got my parcel from ariaya long ago but didn't want to open it while I was ill so I opened it today finally with hopes that I am done and over with that flu stuff!

what a great cheer me up it is!  Grin

first off is this great little dragon with posable wings! ain't he grand! Kiss

then was a set of things that all matched! I love that!
notecards - I can always use more notecards:

a pair of drawstring bags from refurbished jean material that is lined with fabric that I love! sturdy and adorable! These I will be keeping forever!

a journal cover which is great!  Cheesy

and everything together with the extras - some halloween candy, and some paper crafty type ephmera which I might use soon, now that I am getting ready to actually get my partners package put together...  Roll Eyes

thank you so much for the great package ariaya, and for your patience with me while I was recovering!

I sent edelC some beads a while ago, and she sent me an absolute boon of drawstring bags for re-giftiing in swap packages and what not! I think there are 21 bags here! wow, huh?

and she drew a pic of me in a house of beads, sending packages to the world which I think is adorable but couldn't get a good pic so will try that again when the battery gets recharged (if you got a decent pic of it post it edel!)

I like the ones in the top left corner a lot (they have gold swirly all over) and the other blue ones

the ones with deer draw me a lot too - probably because they fit where I live as I watch for them all the time so I don't run over any, LOL!

thank you so much edel! the drawing is sweet and I need to find a place to put it!

I am moving so slow on getting things done because I have been sick what seems like forever!

today - I am getting packages open, pics taken and posted, and trying to catch up on Craftster and tomorrow I intend to get some swap crafting caught up on!

here is the wonderful package I got from SheepBlue probably about a week ago but I opened it today  Wink

she is great and did a wonderful job!

group shot of all the great stuff!

there are two drawstring bags and six zippered pouches!

her first wood burnings! she did a great job on them!

and inside the box were these:

hand made rubber stamps, a bookmark, an intriquing metal unicorn, and inside one of the bags, inside the box, was this set of amazing element themed stitch markers!

a set of really great notecards! these all have dragonflies and different colored pages behind them - they are wonderful!

and I think this is the greatest thing ever! she knows I can't stencil, as no one ever taught me how! so she sent me cut stencils to do for my hubby, and directions on how to do it!

one says "I (pic of gun) zombies" and the other says "My Indian name is Runswithbeer" - both of which crack me up enough that I am going to have to make hubby these for sure once I get caught up on other things, because he will love them!

I kept thinking about that saying 'give a man a fish and he can eat today, teach a man to fish and he will eat forever' when I was looking at these dumbstruck, LOL!

thank you so much Sheepblue!

4  Re: WWP Swap 13 Chunky Pages Gallery of Paper Extravaganza! in The Swap Gallery by RondaS on: October 27, 2009 01:23:56 PM
my pics don't look as good as Singalala's do, and they look tons better in person...

but here are my photos anyways...

the inchies which have no doubt contaminated me with a new craft addiction (soon you will see me on that new show 'intervention' if my hubby figures out what is going on and thinks to write them)

and the Japanese luck gods! now I have all of them and a couple extras!

she sent me some shells and stones as extras but somehow only part of them made it into the pic

more extras!

pages for all the elements, and also a pentacle and there was a drawstring bag that is sort of in there with everything - it is a sturdy one  Cheesy plus some chocolates I have managed to hide from hubby!

thank you so much singalala!

and this is the page I got from Kerallyn:

and here are almost all my luck gods together - somehow the first one I got which started all of this (Ebisu from edelC) didn't make it into this pic - but he is in with the rest of the pages for me to organize into some sort of a book or display!

how cool is all that!

6  Re: Elements Swap Round 2 Gallery of Elemental Glory in The Swap Gallery by RondaS on: September 25, 2009 06:05:17 PM
I am going to post everything I got from mrs.superman now that I have her second box.

from the first box:

from the second box:

what I sent her:
lapghan big enough for a decent crib blanket
mostly blues for water and air
with some green for earth and a touch of yellow for fire
necklace and earrings in carnelian for fire and smokey quartz for earth; and rose quartz hearts (water) with onyx (earth), carnelian (fire), amethyst (air), clear quartz (spirit)

and a small shrine to her home town with pics from thier website, since she said that they had every element there - a lobster boat on the water, puffins over seal island for air, landscape shot in the area for earth, and a sunrise for fire

she said she liked everything but I guess she hasn't figured out how to post pics yet

7  Re: Chocoholics Unanimous Round 5 Gallery of Sweet Chocolatey Goodness! in The Swap Gallery by RondaS on: September 24, 2009 08:31:52 PM
ooooo - I got my wonderful angel package from the amazing

I opened the box and this I see:
I thought she made me a purse  Cheesy

but look at this huge bag she made me!

it is riveted with copper, and made of fabrics that are sturdy and safe for me, and is so terribly wonderfully thoughtful I cried and had to go do dishes to pull myself together  Kiss

look how far down all my treats are!   Grin

and I fished it all out of there into a pile!

this note is great!

it said to open every single bag, LOL! so I did!

I do not know where you found skully fabric on brown, but I am either going to lose that to my daughter or have to hide it, LOL!  Cheesy   my favs are the blue ones that button shut - the buttons are spirals which I totally love! I don't even know for sure how many bags there are, and while I may use some for re-gifting, I know I am not giving away all of them!  Wink

note cards for me to use!
my fav is the one written to me, but I love the one with the moon and star that says it is never too late and never too early for chocolate, LOL! my philosophy truly!

chocolates of course, which are now hidden!

and you know the way to my heart, LOL! almost all of those bags held little hidden treasures in the form of tumbled stones! loverly!

group photo!

I am so totally spoiled and feel so wonderfully happy with everything! you did such a great job as angel! thank you, thank you, thank you!  Kiss

my lovely card and cute little pomegranite charm from Danni - thank you so much!

and all my cards in a group!

thank you all so much!

got to tell you all a funny - my hubby (who has no clue about anything about this sort of thing) walked into the house yesterday and told me it was the autumn equinox, and when I said "I know, happy Mabon!" he wanted to know what that was!  Grin then his eyes glazed over when I started to explain...  Undecided

9  Re: WWP Swap Round 14, Shrine N Stuff! Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by RondaS on: September 20, 2009 05:55:06 PM
first off - this is my shrine!

close up of the skull:  which is just so COOL!

I opened the shrine to look at the rocks inside and the skull fell off so I put it inside...  Roll Eyes

here is the story - I asked her for something south-westerny to go with my bedroom, which is the only room in the house with not much for decore  Undecided

what's on one wall of my bedroom:
and my bed  blanket has a wolf on it

other than the giant green and blue dresser with a few things on it along the wall with the closet, another window on the other side of the bed on an otherwise bare wall, and the nightstands with a phone and a few other things on it (my hubby's lava lamp and a few of my rocks, LOL) - that is it

here is my dresser top now:  Grin

at least my half of it - hubby has his half full with a perverted elf that sings disgusting things, and a pile of the laundry he hasn't put away in hopes I will do it for him but I won't (he is not my child - and I don't even fold the childrens laundry anymore!)

the End of the Trail print and the Hopi Indian village print I got when my father passed from my mom as things she knew I would appreciate - turns out that I have been chatting with the daughter of the fellow who painted the original of the End of the Trail painting via emails and so it is even more special to me, and that other pic is really cool - it is a print of a photograph by some famous guy

anyway - there is a little waterfall that I never did put water in that I got from Luna a while ago, the only necklaces I own which I don't wear but Toby gave me, and some rocks including this little pile which is an element shrine in disguise  Grin

including this great malachite Freya sent me

Extras: a whole bag full of leafy things I will have to check through when someone is here with me...

and for chibi a container with a pentacle/crescent moon on it for her altar!

she will love it!

thank you so much Freya! it is wonderful!

only reversed

and from phnx:

what absolutely gorgeous detail!

together just cuz I took the pic before I unfolded Phizzy's:
