I have 3 skeins of blue worsted yarn i think,the yarn does not have any label on it,i bought it on ebay but in the auction it says for us 7-8 needles.
And now i think i want to make a scarf whit but i have not found a pattern that i liked for it so any ideas or fav patterns for scarves?

I have been doing my gauge for my girls shrugs but it says to use 6mm needles but i always knit to loose so i used 5mm(and i also don't have 6mm needles)and it should have been 10 stitches over 10 cm but my swatch was only 9,5 cm is that ok or what should i do,I hate to have to buy new needles here,one pair is around 15-20 bucks!

Left front piece: Knit like right piece but reversed.

do i cast on  as many stitches as i did in the beginning and then what,I want to make it right.

Ok I'm going to start on my first big project but I really don't know how to measure me tension this is what the pattern says

Knitting tension: 14 sts x 20 rows on needles size 6 mm with 1 thread in each quality in stocking sts (= 2 threads) =10 x 10 cm
Garter st back and forth: Knit all rows.

this is how i understand this

knit and purl,right so the swatch will be in ss...?
but what else please simplify it for me  Undecided

I bought awesome  wrap dress for my little  girl but it calls for braid trim in the armholes and all the way around the dress(instead of hem i think?Is braid trim bias tape or what?
