1  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Finally Done- My bedroom mural on: December 31, 2005 05:48:49 PM
Here's my bedroom back wall where my bed is.  It took a year to decide to expand the pink rectangle and add the flower image.  After two weekends and a lot of hard moving and paint fumes, I"m finally done with painting my bedroom.  Next project: the lights.

2  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / What the hell are these? on: February 09, 2005 06:31:18 AM

The black one was my grandmother's and the other I recieved in a swap and no one seems to know what they are.  One answer was they're sock darners.  If anyone knows, please tell me what they are and what they're used for.
3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / My first crochet post: a flower on: January 24, 2005 04:29:45 PM
Usually I'm found browsing the crochet section but I never posted anything here, until today.  Last week I made a crochetd flower using a pattern from lion brand site.  I'm planning to make a few more for my attempt at a crochet cloche hat.

Added twist!! : everyone will send out two can to two people and in return you will recieve two cans.

Shipping details (taken from the first one by kategirl):
Make sure to put the plastic lid on the can before you ship it, and taping it would be a good idea, too. If you want to try to ship the pringles can as is, just stick the address and all on the outside, more power to you! that would be awesome! but if you don't feel comfortable with that, just stick it in one of the priority mail envelopes they have for free at the post office. And feel free to send early if you're done early!

If you want to participate, information to send to organizer:

Name of swap
Craftster username
Email address
Your real name
Mailing address
Would you be willing to ship to an address outside of the US?

Also remember to read the Swap Info Guide to find out how to ship your item and other details about participating in a swap.

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Help decoding Old knitting patterns on: November 08, 2004 06:15:30 PM
I checked out a book with traditional knitting patterns from Europe.  The problem is the book was written in 1962, so the language is not up to date. Here is what I need deciphered into today's knitting language.

w.f.            Wool foward
w.o.n.        Wool on needle
w.r.n.         Wool round needle
K or P t.b.l.          Through back of loop
k.b.           Knit into back of stitch

*the book is "Traditional Knitting Patterns..." by James Norbury"
7  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Hat swap?? on: November 07, 2004 08:50:01 AM
Same principles as the scraf swap.. except your making hats so you're need head measurements.  Anyone game for this? (and for running it as well)
8  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / What the hell was I thinking on: October 18, 2004 03:26:41 PM
Back in September after having this pattern for months, I decided to sew my own halloween costume (McCall's 3674). It's a can-can costume and I'm only a third of the way done. Halloween is less than two weeks away so I have to bust tail in order to show it off for our local Halloween gathering in Fells Point.  Wish me luck  Cheesy
9  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Scarf Swap Gallery on: August 30, 2004 10:50:07 AM
Background:  Since it had not be done, I decided to organize a swap where people exchanged their handmade scarves (knitted, crocheted, or sewn) with others since the weather is getting colder/warmer.  Plus, it was good thing for folks going back to school.. like me.

Now since it's over- let's post the pix of those scarves.  Thanks to everyone who made the swap a success! Cool

And if you didn't get to participate in this one, there will be another one soon!!
