11  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Kurt Halsey inspired drawing.... on: January 03, 2009 11:47:34 AM
Cool! I remember looking at his site and thinking about how awesome and simple/clean his style was, and I think that you really got that in this picture.
12  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Valentines Day and Easter Goodies!!! on: January 03, 2009 11:44:49 AM
Wow. I am totally jealous of your clay abilities.
The roses on the Valentines Day set totally blow my mind, probably because I've been trying to do something similar with papier mache for the longest time, but can't get it right. Is it just how the pictures came out, or is the red somewhat sparkly?
I also absolutely love the vibrant colors for the Easter bunnies/carrots/eggs.
13  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Horton Hears a Who Swap? Anyone? EDIT: Dr.Seuss Swap!? on: January 03, 2009 11:37:51 AM
I'd so love to do this; I seriously related everything back to Dr. Seuss when I was in high school. I even picked anapestic meter so I could write my poetry project in his style.
14  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Christmas Ornaments for swap on: December 01, 2008 06:12:22 PM
Wow. You should be proud.
The amount of detail on the house, and really, all three is mind-boggling for a "lose steam halfway into it" crafter like me.
That said, I'd proudly display them in my house, and quite possibly bore everybody to sleep with telling them about how great handmade ornaments are.
15  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Re: Sarah Palin Stencilled Shirt on: September 26, 2008 07:03:00 PM
I could totally tell that it was her.
When I saw the icon on the front page, I was like "Somebody made a Palin shirt?"
Then I saw the VPILF.

I totally agree with beaniepup; PILHug would be an amazing alternative. I'd totally wear one that said that with Johnny Mac's picture.
16  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: wire-work collar/ throat corset on: August 27, 2008 04:17:48 PM
Well, to paraphrase Wilde, the only excuse for making a useless thing is that one admires it intensely.  Grin
I do admire that intensely,
17  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Re: The Most Awesome Save-the-Date Ever! on: July 29, 2008 03:17:06 PM
That's amazing!
I absolutely love how you found a way to do it for far less than the book project entailed.
18  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Fair Foods on: June 24, 2008 07:33:22 AM
An elephant ear is just fried dough.
It is amazing with cinnamon sugar, but a lot of people put fruit preserves or chocolate/caramel syrup on them.

Now I need my area's agricultural fairs to start now, instead of late July/August.
I'm seriously hungry for a turkey leg and some fair fries.
Fudge, honey, apples, and fresh full-fat cow's milk ice cream are also very popular at my local fair.
19  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Summertime's here! Honey Limeade on: June 24, 2008 07:09:10 AM
That sounds good.
It's been really hard for me to find more naturally sweetened drinks for the summer; I'm trying to get rid of high fructose corn syrup.
Thanks for posting!

My great-grandmother had one of those that she left to my mom...but my great-uncles sold it at the estate sale by mistake.
