4182  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Re: June Feature Project and Interview on: June 13, 2009 11:55:24 AM
Great choice for this month's feature project!  I really like this piece, despite a lack of interest in Star Wars, roses and spiders.  Now that's something!
4183  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: NSFW: Penis Cowl ~ on: June 12, 2009 06:47:46 PM
Good clean fun!  I believe that another word for "penis cowl" is "foreskin."  Ahem.  Wink

4185  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Re: May Featured Project and Interview on: June 01, 2009 07:05:08 PM
I'm soooo inspired by this piece !!! but for a kid. I have a ton of birth gifts to buy/make, and I'll reuse the idea of putting color on plain old toile.

However, your version is so much better than any of that marshmallow I'm going to make. I really like the line, and I love that it uses a child's base to take it to the grown-ups level.

Waoh, my English is weird this morning...

Oh, please share with us when you're done!  Feel free to PM me of put a link in my post, because I don't want to miss them.  Thank you so much for your kind comments and compliments, too! I'm cooking up another idea for a work friend with MS.  Hopefully I'll get a chance to do it!

4187  CRAFTSTER CRAFT CHALLENGES / Craftster Craft Challenges / Re: Craft Challenge #39 - Repurpose a Catalog - Due Jun 1 - Jun 5 2009 on: May 25, 2009 05:10:55 PM
I'm really looking forward to seeing what people come up with for this awesome challenge!

One thing I use catalogs for is when I need to apply spray mount to several things smaller than an open catalog.  I open it, spray one item and attach it to whatever, then turn a page and spray again, etc.  That way the front of my object doesn't get sticky.  Afterward, it's still recyclable, so it goes into the bin.  Not really a craft, but more of a craft tool.
4188  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: little house pincushion on: May 25, 2009 02:31:53 PM
That's just as cute as can be!  And your tiny little stitches are so nice and tidy.

You seem like you'd be a good fit for the Tiny House Swap Round 2 which will be kicking off later this summer!
4189  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Re: Handmade Skull Journal on: May 24, 2009 09:02:21 AM
Add my voice to the chorus singing "it looks so professional!" Because, it does.  I love the inclusion of the needlework, too.
4190  Oregon / Oregon: Northwest / Re: Visiting Portland Big Thread on: May 23, 2009 04:42:33 PM
I'm so glad I found this thread!  I'm off to Portland (plus Vancouver & Seattle) in September, so now have lots to investigate!

Any great bars that I must visit on my trip?

Probably a good idea to re-ask this question closer to your trip since bars/restaraunt are always going in and out of business and especially these days.   Sad  I'm sure you'll get lots of suggestions, though.  Portland is bit on brewing, the Willamette Valley is big on wine-making and there are plenty of locally produced booze options and bartenders being creative with their cocktails!
