I wanted to post a few more pics of the awesome stuff ethertree made me...I have my camera back now, but she took some great pics and said I could share them, so I will post some of my favorite bits.

some shots of the gorgeous handmade book. the details in the drawings and burnt spots are amazing.

The way the pages were bound created pockets between them, into which ethertree slipped little extras like feathers and handpainted leaves:

I need to get a better pic of the awesome origami earrings, but i'll have to wait until tomorrow in the daylight.

I got my package from ethertree today, and it's probably the best swap package I've ever received. She picked up on a theme that was important to me and ran with it, with amazing results. I love phoenixes and mythology and everything in this package perfectly reflected that and my style.

Unfortunately, my camera died, and my dad is out of town with his, which I would otherwise borrow. I have a few crappy cell phone pics, but ethertree said she has a ton of pics and hopefully she will post some!

I opened the box to see this:

Inside, I found some beautiful treasures:

a feather bookmark, a handcarved bamboo fountain pen with red ink, and a feather bookmark:

I've never had a real fountain pen, so I had to try it out and it writes amazing.

The large project was a handbound book full of phoenix poems and lore. I can't even begin to describe how detailed it is. The pages have pockets between them with secret treasures tucked in, and the drawings are amazing. I hope ethertree has some better pics:

And I got the best origami phoenix earrings(*horrible* pic):

We also decided to swap some used books, and these are what she sent me:

I sent my package today and i have some serious swap anxiety right now....!

witchybelle4u2 is out of town right now, but has received, so I am posting pics of the cloths I sent her.

First, I made the cabled owl cloth. I will definitely make this pattern again.

Then, since we both love Halloween, I chose this bat cloth:

Things I love so far: the angry uterus, the ortho nurses patch, and the kidney purse, which is just amazing. I love the different ways everyone has interpreted this theme.

I got my package from kittenbonanza today, along with another swap package, today was a good mail day Smiley

I got this t-shirt, with a great image of an operating theater:

A tote bag-i LOVE the look on this guy's face Smiley

Uterus undies!! I think I have these on my wist:

three sets of earrings, and an aspirin tin. the earrings have images on wood backs, they're really different. the middle set is my favorite, and even work-appropriate.

thanks so much kittenbonanza! this was a great swap.

I got an awesome pair of earrings from beam_oflight today! She combined a couple of my interests with earrings, which I have been into lately.

Action shot!

The pair--the books have little pictures in them, and I love that she included a black cat, which was one of my themes.

I love them, thanks so much beam_oflight!

I got my dishcloths from IamSusie today! I love the colors, they match my bathroom perfectly. I had thought about trying the ballband pattern myself for this swap. She included two adorable scrubbies, and some little shampoos. I love everything Smiley

I got my awesome, awesome package from zazazoom today!

the first thing i opened was this amazing painting. I love bacteriophages, and i love the quote she chose to put on it! I wish you could see the shading on the 'phage up close, it's gorgeous.

I opened the other box to see an amazing purse with DNA embroidered on it, and a lovely shiny blue satin lining:

I also got some resin pendants...I have been wanting something made of resin for ages and I am so psyched about these! There is a brain, some cells, and a red one that makes me think of blood Smiley The shot is blurry but it's the best I can get.

And finally, a decoupaged box with anatomy illustrations. These remind me of my anatomy textbook from last year.

I love everything, thanks again zazazoom!!

I also wanted to post pics of the dishcloths I sent her, so you can see the designs better:
Science lab:

Erlenmeyer flask:

This has been such an awesome swap, the creativity is amazing!
