1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Resin "Steampunk" and sparkle Cabs and Pendants on: January 03, 2009 11:29:12 AM
Over the New Year's holiday, I fiddled with Resin and made some cabs & pendants, with embedded "Steampunk" tiny watch parts, and dials, as well as tiny sparkle hearts, moons, and a dragonfly bead, and anything I could find to put inside, LOL!

Here is a short video showing them~

If you cannot view the video, I can take some still pics, just let me know if you are interested!

Happy New Year, you crafty ones!
xoxo Barbara
2  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / Faux Bone or Ivory look With PC, What colours? on: December 08, 2008 11:30:49 AM
I wish to make some beautiful pendants, goddess, and beast/beauty,
etc. out of Polymer Clay.  I love the look of "bone" or "Ivory" carved look
of pieces I have seen.  Can you please tell me what colours of clay
I should blend, or any techniques, to get this Bone or Ivory look for my pieces?
I cannot find this info on here when I searched...

THANK YOU!  Craftster Rocks!

I tried to delete this, when I found:
but it wouldn't let me ... so sorry for that.
3  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / ~Stevie Nicks Forest Fairy Sculpted Pendant~ on: March 03, 2008 09:45:55 PM
Hi everyone!

I made a neat little Stevie Nicks (Fleetwood Mac singer, for those of you under 25, LOL)
domino pendant with Polymer Clay over the weekend.
I hand sculpted the little leaves, added three small flowers, with AB Sworovski crystals for centers,
and then dusted with some gold powder on the tips of the leaves.
I am going to drill the top, and hang as a pendant.
Here are some pics~

For the back, I covered with matching clay, then used a decorative rubber stamp to make
an inlay look, and rubbed some gold over that, too~

Then, baked, cooled, and glazed with Eberhard Fimo Glaze.
I am enjoying this clay stuff! LOL.
Hope you like the pics Smiley
4  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Adding Scents to Tags/Papers? on: July 24, 2007 11:57:28 AM
  Hi everyone!
I have seen some very cool "Scented" hang tags on eBay, and I would like to know if anyone here has added scent to their tags, or papers, etc. and if so, what did you use, and how did you add it?
I would love to add some scents like vanilla, cinnamon, woodsy/rain,
apple pie, etc. to them.  I am thinking candle/soap scents?
If so, how would I add that to PAPER?  H  E  L  P!  LOL..
Here are the tags I looked at, I asked the seller how she added the scent, but she never replied:

Also, is there a tutorial for the distressing/staining of them? I know you can do it somehow with coffee or tea soaking?
Thanks for any help!
5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / "Dreadlock" Style Hair Barrettes on: June 19, 2007 08:46:54 PM
  Hi everyone!
I just made some clip in barrettes, to resemble Dreads/Dreadlocks.
I just loved the colours! (yarns purchased at Michael's)
I think they would look really cute on children, too!
Just clip them in, and go!

I hope I posted in the right section, as they are kind of like
"hair jewelry/trinkets" LOL.
Anyone else make hair things like this, I would love to see?
Thanks Smiley Barbara
6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Using Bangle Molds with Resin? on: June 19, 2007 06:36:38 AM
  Hi everyone!
I just ordered a bangle mold from Sherri Haab (YAY!)
Got the notice she shipped it today, so I want to be ready, LOL.
Has anyone used her's or another bangle mold, with Resin, and if so, could you please offer tips?  She has some or her site, but I would like to know all I can so I don't mess up either the mold or the creation.
I use Castin Craft resin, I have the spray CC release, so what do I need to know?  Any advise would be great...thank you Smiley

I realized I should have put this in the Resin section now, but I cannot delete and move it Sad sorry....

8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Stevie Nicks Domino Pendant/Help Sealing? on: June 10, 2007 02:27:46 PM
Hi everyone,

I just finished up a Stevie Nicks domino pendant, with a dragon fly and flower.

The first one, I ruined, because I went to put the Diamond Glaze on (I had heat set each layer with a heat gun) and all the inks ran and ruined it.
So, I did a new one.

I have not glazed this one, because I need your help...
What did I do wrong?  I stamped the image, coloured in stuff with inks, and heat set between layers.  Is it the ink/stamping pads I am using, or is Diamond Glaze the wrong sealant/do I need to put something on BEFORE the DG, etc?  HELP!
Thank you ever so much, this is the first (well, second, counting the ruined one, LOL) domino pendant I have ever done, and I want them to be right.
