1  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Old heavy tape dispenser: what to do with it? on: March 24, 2011 01:48:28 PM
You could cover it with a papier-mache design and make a cell phone cradle.

I would say this. Drill a hole through it and thread your charger through.
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: trout purse on: June 13, 2010 12:08:07 PM
I so want one of these!

This rocks!
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: What to do with this dress? on: June 03, 2010 07:43:11 AM
If it's just the underarm thing, take it to a tailor if you aren't confident in altering it yourself. It'll probably cost you about $20.

That dress is super cute. I bet it looks great with a belt and with leggings or boots.

my friend loves these things. She glued them all to a board and displays them in the back of her car. She named it Dogtown.

Maybe poke a hole through them and make them charms?
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: channeling my inner naughty child with my teal corduroy jumper on: January 28, 2010 09:07:50 AM
ADORABLE! The fabric really makes the jumper. It looks super comfy too. Now I want a corduroy jumper. Cheesy
6  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: Fused Plastic Bags on: January 27, 2010 06:22:01 PM
I've made tons of stuff with fused plastic bags. It's a good material to make clutches and wallets, bags for groceries, silly hats, bottoms for homemade slippers (I make a lining so your feet don't get sweaty), Lamp shades, blinds... yeah. It's super useful. What I love about it is that you can sew it together rather easily.
7  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: 3 New Paintings on: August 12, 2009 01:01:39 PM
Lol. These look exactly like the majority of my doodles. I'm obsessed with lips, butts, and legs!

I love how you did the outlines and your perspective is awesome!
8  CRAFTSTER CRAFT CHALLENGES / Craftster Craft Challenge Theme Ideas, Etc. / Craft your dreams! on: August 06, 2009 06:19:37 AM
There's something distinctly Sigmund Freud about dreams. Some people dream about normal situations, and some people dream about different planets. I propose a Craftster Craft challenge all about the night world. Embroider a dream sequence onto a pillow, paint your dream guy/girl on the wall, write a children's book about your most interesting dream, make a dream dictionary, sew a piece of clothing you wore in a dream, crochet or knit a creature only found in dreams! The options are endless, and it might be fun exploring what everyone else dreams up.
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Pop Tab dress with straps on: June 18, 2009 10:30:51 AM
Would you mind terribly posting close-up pics of the inside (so I can make sure I got the "weave" right), the "bra cup" part, and the crocheting around the laces in back?  I'm having the most difficulty seeing what's going on there.  That would be wonderful if you don't mind doing it  Wink

I second this! I'd love a tutorial, but i understand how much a pain in the butt making a tutorial is (not to mention you have to gather the materials again to make another if you're going the picture route) But some pictures of the bra cups would be awesome. I'm about to make a pop tab corset and would love to know how you contoured the tabs to fit your boobs.
10  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: fun with ceramic markers on: February 25, 2009 01:21:10 PM
This is such a great idea! I've never heard about ceramic markers until this post, but I looked them up and was thrilled to find out they were dishwasher safe. I'm getting my first apartment this summer and this is awesome to dress up those ugly white cheap plates I bought!
