1  First duvet quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by anonhat on: November 04, 2007 11:39:42 AM
I have to hand it to you quilters. I had such a hard time with this. Quilting is HARD WORK! Sorry for the crappy photobooth pictures. My expensive camera has gone on the fritz and i'm still trying to find out why it's not saving the pictures it takes. Oh. and sorry for the non-ironing. Ive been sleeping on it for a few weeks now and not bothered to take pictures when i first made it.

Anyway. I needed a duvet for my comforter that i've had FOREVER. It was originally white, but you know how crafty people can get crafty substances all over things sometimes! (Paint and coffee stains mostly) But, either the ones i likes where about how much i paid for the original feather comforter, or they were ugly. So i went to walmart, bought some cute and bright colored fabrics (I was hoping they still had pokemon, but they didn't) and this is what i got.

Me all snuggly in it.

The pattern. I altered it from a baby blanket project that i had done in Sewing class last year.

Just to show you the size of the massive thing

The back of it is a curtain (not really, its more of like a giant sarong-like sheet.) from Target. I thought it matched well.
