Are we supposed to be checking in every week? If so, I didn't realize that, and may not have done so... I did follow all the sending and receiving directions, though!

Looking forward to seeing all the TY gifts

In all honesty it is just a force of habit that i got into when i signed up for the few swaps that i am in. I make sure to do a check in message to keep me on track. Generally I do so on friday's though because the sendout is tomorrow I figured to give a little howdy before I ship!

Lovely corset, especially for your first.  And hey, I like your disguise, but isn't that you in your avatar?   Grin

i don't believe that is the same person. Perhaps their daughter or something. But still smart idea to do that!

BTW....absolutely stunning corset. and I love the materials you chose.

OT - Yep I had forgotten that it was Simcoe day as well on Monday. Simcoe was the first Lieutenant Governor of Upper Canada, abolished slavery and created Yonge Street (to name a couple)

summerluvin_ca - That sounds a lot like brown packing tape. Was popular before clear plastic tape. sold in the same places. Trying to remember butcher tape... All I remember is string.
The cleaners bag would be good. I was thinking black plastic trash bag. Hot and sweaty but like you say easy to remove. Don't have to worry about tape sticking to clothes or skin.

I always thought that the brown packing tape had fibers within it? The woman who ran the sewing program (that's where we did it) actually did buy the tape from a butcher in the area. Weird. But if it works hey that's all that matters right?

The dry cleaning bag is a little bit more light weight than a black trash bag. Mind you it still feels like your in a sauna. We stripped down to our skivvies and wore the bag and then plastered ourselves with the tape. At first it was quite cold when putting the tape on. But then it got warm.

Another great idea to "display" the form, an old coat/hat rack, or even an old christmas tree stand with a pole.

A young man named Tim McLean had been working at a festival in edmonton alberta. He was riding the Greyhound bus back home to winnipeg and a lunatic stabbed him while on the bus 40 times and then continued to decapitate him in front of 30 other riders.

It's been a very dominating story in the headlines here in Canada.

edited to add: sorry i went off topic on this post.
