I love love love this. Any chance of a tutorial? Pretty please  Cheesy

hye xx_bumblebee_xx, im really really reallllyyyyy not good in giving tutorial, but anyway, i hope this helps.  Cheesy hope it gives u the big picture of it.

ok, here it goes my erm.. tutorial.

i made lining for piece A, so if u want too, u need 2 pieces of A. me myself dont even know y i made lining for piece A. LOLs.

ok, length of C = length of A + length of B

looks pretty easy right? yup, for the experts, of course it's easy! but for a beginner like me.. haha.

n sorry if the pics kinda blurry. i dont have a scanner. so i just take their pics.
i didnt make tutorial for the sleeves, coz me myself finding a hard time doing it.
so, i dont know how to explain it. sorry.  Sad

hye! thanx guys for the comments. really appreciate it Cheesy .

That's adorable! Great job. I think the sleeves look pretty good, but the bolero really sets if off, so you're good both ways! Did you use a pattern?

no, but i was just browsing the internet last week, n found this, it's from forever21 i guess.. i wanna make something like this..

but.. it turns out 2 b a lil' bit different..
i use this pic as a guideline n i just dig as im working on it.
but i really dont have any idea how to make that puffy puffy bottom. huhu.

looks great, love the style and the colour.  i don't think the sleeves look sloppy but i liked it better without them, puffy sleeves would have looked awesome but they are a pain in the ass to do!  Smiley

yeah.. that's y i cancelled the puffy sleeves. i gave up.  Sad

I honestly liked it better before sleeves, but that's just me...

Also, is that bolero a fuzzy knit? did it have a little ribbon that used to go under the bust? and a little fuzzy yarn covered button? Because if it is, then I have that exact one in a really pale blue color, and I adore it, and I'm jealous that you have it in pink Cheesy

lafemmedramatique, the answers are all yes, except it doesnt have ribbon under the bust. yup, pink is always lovely.  Cheesy

and, as i look back at this purple top, yeah, i think it looks better withour the sleeves.
hehe. i should just unstitch the sleeves.

4  purple top. =) in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by farhana on: May 15, 2008 10:53:11 AM
so here's a purple top i made recently.. i dont know.. im not really good at sewing tops or dresses or any garments.. it always turns out a bit sloppy..but i just wanna share this with all of you.. might have ideas or comments that'll make it better..

before i add the sleeves.

actually, i want to add puffy sleeves.. but i got headache while doing it. LOLs. so i just cancelled the puffy sleeves.. n just made the ordinary-normal-typical sleeves.. *sigh*..

it looks like the sleeves are not really well done.. so i thought pairing the top with a bolero would b nice..

hehe. thanx for looking.  Grin
comments n critics are welcome, as always.  Wink

8  jumper becomes tote bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by farhana on: April 24, 2008 04:32:34 AM
i made a bag. like a tote bag, pleated tote bag...(i made pleats for the jumper actually) the fabric was actually a pareo, but then i turned it out into some kind like jumper, or some people call it pinafore. however, i found out that it's quite small for me (i mistakenly measured my own size, duh~), so i sew the jumper's bottom line and transformed it into this bag. LOL~

the bag

the fabric

i adjusted both corners at the dotted line. it was like that previously. but i guess making curves are better..

so.. what do u guys say?  Smiley
