1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Domiknitrix Homegrown bag rows 12-19? on: February 20, 2011 12:24:51 AM
Has anyone knitted the domiknitrix homegrown bag?  Rows 12-19 say to knit in the established pattern. What established pattern is it talking about?

I think that it makes sense that it would be the stockinette main panels and the rib sides, but I am not 100% sure and would like to avoid ripping out stitches if it can be avoided.

Thanks for your help!
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Spring and Summer knitting; Do you put up your needles? on: February 15, 2011 04:44:49 PM
Usually I switch from knitting to sewing in the warmer months, but this year I have determined not to do this. I am starting by knitting the domiknitrix homespun bag out of hemp yarn.

Do you usually put away your needles or knit through the summer months?
What kinds of projects and fibers do you work with as the weather gets warmer?

I'm curious because I need more ideas!  After I finish this bag I am going to knit a shawl, but then I am out of ideas.
3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Bathroom decor sign ideas? on: February 15, 2011 01:32:48 PM
Hello All,

I have a crafty problem.  Recently my boyfriend and I decided to get a roommate.  Now there is a 2:1 guy girl ratio, and the toilet seat is up every time I go into the bathroom.  Does anyone have some creative ways that I can make my point known without sounding like a princess?

I knit, sew, stitch and paint.  My ideas so far are:
Create a cute framed cross stitch that says "Put a lid on it"
Create some vinyl decals to put under the seat so that they can only be read when it's up.

I figure that if I approach it right, it will be fun instead of territorial.
4  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / Ladylike Lace gloves row 22? on: August 08, 2007 11:44:59 PM
This is my first complicated crochet project and I am stuck on row 22.  I turned after 13 stitches on row 21, chained ten and then the pattern says to "sc in next 8 ch, working remaining sts in row 19, sc in back loop across, turn -46sc." How do I end up with 46 sc if I only have a short row of 13 to work with?  I am so confused.  Please help.  I am about to give up my short crochet career and go back to my two faithful knitting needles.
