1  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Harry Potter Themed Phone Case (Decoden) on: July 06, 2011 08:01:54 AM
My Harry Potter iPhone case I decoden-ed in spirit of the upcoming last movie of the Harry Potter series: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows! (Sorry for all the angles!!)

Hope you enjoyed! I'm STOKED to start wearing this out!!  Grin Grin Grin

Also, has anyone who had worked with using silicone caulk for decoden have problems with the "whipped cream" getting really dirty over time? If so, is it easy to clean? I'm scared mine will get filthy!  Huh
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Resin with different color for separate parts of the mold? on: June 16, 2011 08:59:07 AM
I tried looking through the Resin board but I couldn't narrow my search down to find what I was looking for! Sorry guys! ):

But my question is, how do you put different parts of colored resin to create only a specific part of the mold to be colored?

Like this Hello Kitty cabochon:

See how the bow, whiskers, eyes, and nose are different colors? How do I achieve this?
My guess is to just pour the resin in the bow only, let it set, then continue pouring, but what if the mold is EXTREMELY small (like the size of a quarter)?
Also, what is the best way to do the much finer details, such as the whiskers?

Thank you!

4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / VHS Picture Frames on: June 06, 2007 08:34:44 PM
My friend and I were having an art party and decided to make picture frames out of VHS tapes! We took them apart and put the pictures in the clear part where the film should be and then decorated them with whatever we felt like.

we made them for eachother. i made the one on the left and my friend evelyn made the one on the right. (:
5  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / LOADS of painted slipons! My first post (: [& VERY picture obsese] on: June 03, 2007 02:10:01 PM
these were painted from the time frame of april until june. i'm kind of obsessed  Roll Eyes & it doesn't help that walmart sells them so cheap at just 6 bucks! (:

these were the very first ones i painted with my grandma's old shoes. they're really worn out because i wore then a couple times before the picture was taken.

these were the second ones. they're pretty plain and are only painted in the front. i was thinking of putting the lyrics to "under the sea" on the backs & sides, but haven't gotten there yet.

mario shoes! these were inspired by shoes i found on this forum by thedish
and was painted as i was getting hyped up for my nintendo birthday party (:

these were painted as a prize for my friend for winning one of the games at my nintendo birthday party. she didn't want it nintendo themed though, and just wanted it random. i also painted the sides and backs, but the front is the most exciting:

aaanndd lastttlyy, these were painted today! potterpuffs! (http://potterpuffs.livejournal.com/) they're semi-finished. there's still too much white space and i don't know what i should fill it with. any ideas? (: i'm thinking of just drawing a background to it, like on the shoe with cho & harry, the sky and some grass or something. and i REALLY hate the side of the right shoe with the glasses and scar. i ran out of ideas so just drew something to fill in the white space that was bothering me. haha.

annnnd i'm finished! thanks for looking! & thanks even more if you actually went through and looked at and read the whole thing! i was VERY excited for my first craftster post Cheesy & feedback would be teeerrriifffiicc!
