1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Turning a dark green shirt to a khaki/olive drab color? on: October 16, 2010 08:37:52 PM
So I dyed a white shirt, trying to match it to a green khaki cargo-type skirt. I bought some dylon dye in the color "olive". The color they showed on the package matched the skirt exactly but the shirt turned out way too GREEN. Just like... Dark but vibrant, not olive drab color. Is there a way I can fix this and make it the right color?

5  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / How many people need to express interest before I start? on: June 05, 2010 01:22:55 PM
I started a new swap theme ideas thread for a swap I want to do. So far only one person has replied. I just wanted to know how long I should wait or how many people should post before I start it. Also, I often see organizers putting the link to their swap in their sig, but would it be weird for me to do that for just an idea thread? Thanks!
6  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Lolita swap? on: June 04, 2010 12:36:00 PM
I apologize in advance for any typos or anything as im doing this from my phone....

Anyway, ive seen lolita swaps in the past but as far as i know there isnt one going on now. If there are at least a few people who show interest, i would like to start it up right away! I would be thrilled to organize.

Basically this would be a swap for lolitas and anyone who likes gothic lolita, sweet lolita, even hime gyaru and other related styles.

Let me know if you would want to particiate. Smiley
7  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Giraffes are my favorite animal :] on: March 06, 2010 12:09:48 PM
Indeed they are.
I drew this partially because I love giraffes, and partially to help the effort at One Million Giraffes, a website where a dude is trying to collect one million (hand-made or drawn) giraffes by 2011. You should make one too, I want him to reach his goal. :]
Anyway, here is my giraffe. I drew it with a few different pencils on really cheap paper. XD

8  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Altered Journal on: January 11, 2010 06:29:06 PM
I found a "backstreet boys" spiral notebook in my old stuff, and I was excited because it hadn't been written in! The cover would not do, though, so I removed the wire and changed it into a pretty distressed journal. Tongue

The back:

And After I finished, I realized I'd made it so the paper was upside-down! Oops! I don't mind, though. Here's a view of that, and how I aged the edges of the pages.

Sorry about the mediocre pictures, I'm still getting used to my new camera. :]
Also, I didn't take the pictures two years ago...I'm gonna need to set the date on the camera. XD
9  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Ephemera/Papercraft supplies swap? on: January 10, 2010 05:48:57 PM
I was thinking this could be a good swap idea...Kind of an ATC supply swap. I know most ATC makers hoard every little bit of ephemera they can find.

This would be a very low-pressure swap, as it would consist mostly of de-stashing. Each person could maybe list what they'd really want, what they definitely don't want, and their favorite motifs/themes/things so that their partner can have something to build off of, assuming that not everything they send will be exactly what the partner wants. (ugh my sentence made sense, right? It sounds awkward). We could have a minimum like, fill a large envelope (I smiled as I typed that because I looked over at an oversized novelty birthday card I recently got that came in an envelope that was like three feet long. I don't mean that. XD)

If people are interested and there isn't currently one in the works that I missed, I would be more than happy to organize. Cheesy

Please let me know if you'd be interested and the proposed timeframe that you'd like to do it. I'd be willing to do it whenever, I'm only in two swaps right now so I'm free.
10  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / More inchies? on: December 04, 2009 06:01:21 PM
Are there any plans for another inchy swap? I only started making them recently so I didn't get to participate in the previous ones.
