Enchanted Dandelions, I am so tempted to follow your footsteps and Goodwill them, but for some reason I have a feeling they would just come back to me.   Grin

My grandma (one of my biggest 'offenders') is a Goodwill Queen. Thank goodness we live an hour apart, so she's not likely to shop at my Goodwill.

Maybe you could save your stuff and next time you take a roadtrip, drop the things off a few states away.  Grin
8  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / ISO: Gift ideas for a hand-fasting ceremony (pagan) on: May 30, 2007 11:50:48 AM
A friend who I met recently online invited me to her hand-fasting ceremony in June. (For those who don't know, a handfasting ceremony is a pagan version of a wedding).

I would love to make her something, but not sure what. I'd like for it to be pagan in nature, maybe something for her and her husband. (They've been living together for 10+ years... so they aren't "newlyweds"... and they have 4 children together).  I don't know ALOT about her, just the basics. And I'm relatively new to paganism myself, so not sure where to start.

Any ideas?   Smiley

Maybe make/decorate a couple journals for her to take along to write about her trip... and a few matching photo albums?

OMGZ, I so know how you guys feel.  When we first moved in, my husband thought it would be nice to do a nautical/lighthouse theme in the kitchen. I thought "Okay, that would be nice", but I wanted to stick to more vintage, real seashells/driftwood, antique maps, etc.

Now, whenever someone goes to the beach, they ALWAYS bring me back little cheap trinkets from those giftshops.

I have not one... not two... but THREE lighthouse-shaped cookie jars. THREE, PEOPLE!!!   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Ah, well... whatcha gonna do?  I just smile... put it on "display" for a couple weeks then goodwill it.  It used to bother me, but now, I've realized that my house is just that- MY house. It's where I live 24.7, so I'm going to have it the way I want it.
