1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Bathing suit alterations. on: August 18, 2007 06:45:39 PM

I'm half the girl I used to be. litteraly.

I have a deep navy bathing suit that I adore! I need to alter a size 12 to fit a size 6. Any tips on taking things in in general; sewing on lycra, do I hace to use special thread; really any tips tricks or ideas?

Its a one peice btw.

I also want to cut out holes in it...would it need a hem or blanket stitch to keep from fraying?

thanks so much!

2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Aberzombie pattern help? on: August 10, 2007 08:38:40 PM
okay, so my baby sister dragged me into aberzombie to help her find some jeans. Now normally i LOATH this store but it seems this season they are reviving the grunngeesque look so there cloths aren't AS heinous...

but I digress. I fell in love with this ->http://www.abercrombie.com/anf/onlinestore/html/zoom2.html?alphaList=1:2:3:4:5:&attrTemplate=h&prnbr=15586&colors=5&zoom=1&colorName=Navy:Green:Grey:Cream:Tan:&current=1 adorable sweater shirt.

Unfortunately they did not have it in my size or colour, and it was nearly 60 bucks ><;;

has anyone ever seen a pattern like it? I would verily appreciate any suggestions at all.
