11  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / TSHIRT TO BUY on: August 31, 2007 07:26:32 PM
What t-shirt do you normally start with?
I love the plain fitted babydoll tshirts from Kohl's but I just realized these might not be okay to use for recons..
Would I be able to make puff sleeves or do much construction to them?
Or am I just safer with a huge Michael's shirt? I just don't like the material on those.. I like the really thin stretch girly cotton stuff..
Any advice?
Maybe I could get an XL baby doll tee?
But even then would those sleeves be impossible to work with?
I'll probably be making a whole bunch of puff sleeves so my main question is just if puff sleeves can be made out of babydoll tee sleeves?
12  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Making shirts smaller. on: August 25, 2007 08:40:01 AM
I want to make one of my baggy tshirts form fitting.
So far I've pinned on both sides, but I'm wondering if I have to cut off the sleeves and make them smaller seperately or if I can just pin those along my arms too.
If I have to take them off can you explain how I make them small?
13  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Casette Tape~~ on: August 18, 2007 09:06:01 PM
I've seen so many of theseeee.
I want to make one so bad!
I finally found an old casette tape but it's not all prety like this girls.. ;~;
Does anybody know what she used to paint it or whatever or was it already like that maybe?
And if it was already like that what could I use to make mine like that? o.o
Does nail polish look trashy when used as paint?
Does it paint well? o.o

This is something like what I'm trying to achieve~~
Thanks in advance! ^^
14  CLOTHING / Shoes: Discussion and Questions / Collaging and Modge Podge on: August 10, 2007 01:19:07 AM
How do you do it?
Is Modge Podge glue or something?
All the creations I see with this stuff look AMAZING though and I just have to try it. :]
I looked for a tute but couldn't find one.. >_<
15  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Brush strokessss. on: August 09, 2007 09:57:39 PM
What kind of brushes do you use and in which direction do you paint?
Every time I try to paint and I stroke sometimes when I go to put another layer it pushes all the paint out of the way and it gets all stuck in the corners so the middle is not very painted and the corners all have way too much paint. I've been using a sponge brush..

Gimme some tipssss.
16  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Circle Skirts.. on: July 03, 2007 09:37:11 PM

Hmm okay I've made a waistband and now I've got it folded into quarters and stuff..

I was wondering..
I was looking through all the pages and noticed that some people were doing different math. Why? If you pleated it wouldn't that get rid of the extra bigness? And also.. How do you pleat anyways? XP

17  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Ohmystars Jeans to Skirt on: June 19, 2007 05:24:53 PM

What does it mean by "flap bit" in step 2? These tutorials are really unclear. It's hard for a beginner. Or maybe just for me haha. e.e;; Does anybody have an easier one? Also, is my skirt going to turn out to look like the skirt in the photo? Because according to the tutorial it seems like my skirt won't look like that.. And I want it to. >.< Does anybody have a tutorial for a skirt made with just your jeans?

Thanks a lot~ <3
18  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Ohmystars Totebag.. (Help!) on: June 01, 2007 02:18:21 PM
Have any of you made the totebag from Ohmystars? This is the tutorial if you havn't seen it..
Well, this is the first thing I've ever sewn so it's pretty confusing to me. >_<; What does it mean by "pinch the square corners and sew flat"? It'd be nice if somebody could draw me the steps of that or something.. Please explain step 2 thoroughly to me because I really don't understand. x_x;;
