21  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Cutie Skirt Help on: January 27, 2008 03:09:12 PM
I bought this skirt awhile ago and I really like the style~
I found this fabric that would look really great in the same style, but I'm not exactly sure how to make it.
Is it basically a circle skirt with a big piece of fabric as a "waistband" or something?
And if it is how would I get the measurement to make the circle skirt or whatever?
Please help~~

26  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / TSHIRT TO BUY on: August 31, 2007 07:26:32 PM
What t-shirt do you normally start with?
I love the plain fitted babydoll tshirts from Kohl's but I just realized these might not be okay to use for recons..
Would I be able to make puff sleeves or do much construction to them?
Or am I just safer with a huge Michael's shirt? I just don't like the material on those.. I like the really thin stretch girly cotton stuff..
Any advice?
Maybe I could get an XL baby doll tee?
But even then would those sleeves be impossible to work with?
I'll probably be making a whole bunch of puff sleeves so my main question is just if puff sleeves can be made out of babydoll tee sleeves?

30  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Making shirts smaller. on: August 25, 2007 08:40:01 AM
I want to make one of my baggy tshirts form fitting.
So far I've pinned on both sides, but I'm wondering if I have to cut off the sleeves and make them smaller seperately or if I can just pin those along my arms too.
If I have to take them off can you explain how I make them small?
