3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Circular knitting question :D on: September 19, 2007 09:04:39 AM
One- Can I make a hat with only circs or do I need dpns? The Faq seems to say both Huh
Two-How do you knit in the round. The only method I have found is where you cast on 68 (or however many you need) onto the first needle. Then you distribute evenly. Then you use the correct empty needle to work one half of the stitches. Then pull to the other end and work the other half??? Huh Is that right or am I totally lost? LOL Cheesy
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Bolero/shrug question :) on: September 18, 2007 09:59:08 AM
Okay, I have read all the FAQs and I don't think this was in there. Though I am sure I could have missed it. LOL This board is a plethora of information! I love it! Smiley I am new to knitting and my only successful scarves have been chunky yarn on size 17 needles  Shocked I am currently knitting a baby scarf on size 8s and find my hands cramping WAY too much! LOL Smiley I should be done before Thursday though! Smiley I want to make my daughters (7 and 5) boleros for the fall. Cheesy Like a short shrug but with rounded edges in the front... I need a simple pattern. Easy as it gets. LOL Any thoughts? They wear a size 10/12 and a 7/8 Smiley Thanks so much!!!! Smiley
