Ever since I have learned how to quilt my mom has been nagging me for a table runner, so I finally broke down and made her one for mother's day. I started at noon on sat and finished at 1:30 Sunday morning. yep that's it 13 and a half hours. lol

14  mother's day table runner in Quilting: Completed Projects by Sera unravled on: July 03, 2013 12:45:40 PM
This is the first table runner I have ever made. My mom had been begging me for one, so I thought it would be nice to make one for mother's day.

bacon ranch mac and cheese

1/4 cup of butter
1/4 cup flour
2 cups milk
ranch dressing
bacos
salt and pepper
1/2 pound of elbow macaroni

Make macaroni according to directions set aside

in a big pot melt butter, whisk in flour.  Slowly whisk in milk, whisk until thick.  Add a couple of squirts of ranch dressing. add salt and pepper to taste. add bacos.  Add macaroni and enjoy.

Verdict:
Very good I make this all the time except I leave out the Bacos and add onion powder, I actually have some in the fridge right now.

Creamy tomato and Tortellini soup

http://www.plainchicken.com/2012/11/creamy-tomato-tortellini-soup.html

Verdict:
I love this soup!!! My husband doesn't like tomato soup so I get it all to myself! Smiley I make it once a week.

another quilted bag

kitty approves!! Cheesy

it's big enough for an overnight trip, or a big knitting project.
Right now I use it to carry my clipboard and radio for work.

Hopefully after I file my taxes I'll have enough money to make a real quilt.

jexxican-- you are my hero!!

So last night I threw some ingredients together. It was sorta like lasagna, but with bow tie pasta. and I also put cream cheese in the noodles.

Bow Tie Lasagna

6oz bow tie pasta
one jar of pasta sauce
ricotta cheese
mozzarella
cream cheese 4 oz
italian seasoning
garlic powder

preheat oven to 350 degrees
cook noodles according to directions
put noodles in a bowl and mix in cream cheese itallian seasoning and garlic powder
put a thin layer of sauce in an 8x8 baking dish.
put ricotta on the sauce( I just blobbed it on there)
put a layer of noodles on top.
continue the layering process one more time, with sauce being the last layer.
put some shredded mozzarella on top
sprinkle some parmessan on top
put in oven for 30 min

Verdict
I liked it, but it was missing meat. My husband dropped his portion on the floor, but the little he did eat he liked. He also said it was missing meat.
Next time I make it I'll add some Italian sausage.
