1  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Vintage skis? on: January 27, 2009 03:14:52 PM
I have a new found interest in vintage skis lately, but I need some help with ideas on what to do with them! So far I've thought of hanging them horizontally with L brackets for shelves, laying them flat against the wall and putting hooks on the fronts to hang things from (hats, backpacks, etc), and I saw a cool idea on Etsy to make them into a growth chart.

Any other ideas? Thanks! Cheesy

Here's an easier way to do it (although less "sentimental") but with the same results! You can go to this website and type in any word and it brings up random letter images- it looks just like the ones you made! Cheesy You can even keep clicking on each letter and it changes until you find a style you like.

Im making a tootsie roll costume for my lil guy...hes due on the 16th of Oct! Cheesy I figure I can take one of those white sleeper dress/onesie/sleep sack things and tie a ribbon around the bottom to make one end of the wrapper, then stick a white beanie on his head with extra fabric and ribbon tied around it for the other end. Then iron on the tootsie roll letters and sew brown & red accents where needed.

You could be Miss America and make a silk white banner to go across your chest!
