5  COOKING / Dessert / Sheffield Banana Chocolate Cupccakes! Yummy! on: May 27, 2009 03:39:55 AM

Sorry you can't see it properly. It was my first try and tasted really good. For me, I think the taste of chocolate and banana and cinnamon is balanced. Definitely going to make this again for the future. They're for my BF's birthday. I got the recipe from here: http://resepi.mesra.net/Detailed/4781.shtml
And here's the translation: Grin

You'll need:
2 eggs
2 cups castor sugar
1 cup fresh milk
1 cup oil (I used cooking oil)
1 tsp essence of vanilla
2-3 bananas (mashed)
1 tsp cinnamon powder
2 tbsp chocolate chips
1 cup hot water (I didn't add this as I had bad experiences adding water to cake batter before)

And you need to sift these ingredients:
1 cup self-raising flour
3/4 cup wheat flour
1 tsp baking powder
3/4 cup cocoa powder

In a mixer, mix eggs and sugar until fluffy.
Mix in milk.
Mix in oil.
Mix in essence of vanilla, cinnamon powder and chocolate chips.
Mix in mashed bananas.
Fold in sifted ingredients, don't use the mixer, use a spatula
Add in hot water (I skipped this step)
Bake in 150 degree celcius for 40-45mins

(p/s:sorry for the bad English, lol)

6  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / My First Felt Bunny! on: May 27, 2009 03:15:18 AM
This little guy was made for my BF as his bodyguard (it was his birthday). It's my first time working with felt, and my first attempt at bunny-making. His ears are black velvet. That's my BF's name on the bunny's sweater.

Safely in the backpack he's getting

I also bake him a banana chocolate cinnamon cupcakes ^.^

Comments make my day.

10  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Curtain. Singular! on: May 08, 2009 05:12:59 AM
Bravo! I started my sewing adventures by sewing curtains too, like you, with no instructions or patterns, just kinda winged it. Curtains took a lot of patience, especially when you're sewing a full set of 11 pieces of them (I feel like I don't want to sew curtains ever again, lol, but they bring good money) I really like the fabric, very cute
