21  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Re: Happy Monster hand drawn shoes on: May 15, 2009 09:28:20 PM
These are amazing!  And now I want to make my own, despite the fact that I rarely even wear sandals. Cheesy
22  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: Hyperbolic crotchetalong? on: May 15, 2009 07:06:11 PM
Decided to make one.  Even though I still don't understand what a hyperbolic plane is I think it came out pretty cool.  I'm going to keep it on my desk so it can make everything look pretty.  Smiley

I think I'll make a scarf using the pattern another day.

It's really nice, what size hook did you use?

Thanks, I used a I/9 5.50mm hook.  It was the reccommened hook size for the yarn.

25  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Mother's Day Blanket on: May 08, 2009 10:52:32 AM
This is my first big project, and blanket (that I've finished) so I'm really happy.
Story:  I've had a lot of free time over the past week so I decided to make a blanket.  I'm going to give it to my mother for Mother's day.   She has seen me work on it, but I don't think I've given her enough evidence to believe it's actually for her.

There's 30 rows in all, using a granny square pattern.  Purple 10, white 7, black 2, blue 2, green 3, and grey 6.  I tried to use all all my left over yarn from previous projects.  Color order  was random.
(I might continue it another day, but for now I like it.)

This looks great, the color is very nice, and I like the stitch.  Plus, the fact that you dyed it with coffee, adds a certain pizzazz  Cheesy
27  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Sp in Hat Pattern? on: December 27, 2008 07:20:01 PM
Yes that does help, thank you.  I thought that's what the pattern might mean but I wasn't sure.
28  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Sp in Hat Pattern? on: December 27, 2008 06:45:30 PM
The pattern I'm working on for a hat says this:
Round 7: ch3. dc in each dc and sp around...

I know sp means space, but I don't know how I'm suppose to work that into the hat.

Can anyone explain this please?

I'm working on this pattern by the way: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=278038.10
