21  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Bag for knitting needles on: July 25, 2010 12:19:46 PM
After I made a bag like this for a swap, my sister requested one like it for her birthday.
I was able to improve some things that I learned while making the first one and now
here it is:

I added a place for a little notepad as my sister is always taking notes while knitting
and the elastic loop can hold a pencil.

Some seams are crooked and it's not perfect, but as I'm still a beginner at sewing, I'm really proud of it anyway!  Smiley
I hope it will have a place for everything she needs to carry around for her knitting!
22  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Been Busy in Glass Pic Chubby on: July 06, 2010 08:49:09 AM
I love, love, love the butterfly wings! But I think I already told you this last time you posted them...  Cool
Now that is some jewellery that I would like to have!
23  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Re: Hoot! Altered Altoids tin on: June 24, 2010 11:19:13 AM
So the tin already had those nice colors (the blue top and the stripes on the side) and you chose your motive to match these colors (which you did great, btw - I love the cute owls!)?

I'm asking because I have a tin that is very ugly and I tried to paint on tins before, but it never worked.

This is so cute! ♥
Did you paint the tin or was it already in these colors?
If you painted it - what did you use?

Nice skirt! I like your idea of sewing those petals into clothing!
Also, I think the outdoor pictures are great!

Good luck with your surgery, Jayne!

This is a really cute dress! And the fabric is great, too!

I like the description of the patterns. I will definitely check that out!
Thanks for posting the link.

Wow - they look awesome!
I especially like the anchor with the wave and the strawberries!

What a great idea to paint them instead of throwing them away!
