you can paint the chime tubes.  I have done it with a brown primer. It doesn't seem to dampen the sound too much.

I use special German made inks that chemicly bind with certain materials.

You can use 1 inch galvanized conduit, 6, 8, 10, and 12 inches long.

The rusty tin can was litter in the high desert of california.

I rescued it along with many others. Its my way of cleaning and recycling.
