11  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Angry birds on: January 09, 2011 12:30:44 AM
I made these for my Nephew for Christmas. The patterns are from Obsessively Stitching. http://obsessivelystitching.blogspot.com/2010/12/angry-birds-plush.html

12  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Gingham baby pants on: October 31, 2010 06:53:51 PM
I made these pants from a new free Made By Rae pattern.  I love her blog - http://www.made-by-rae.com/2010/10/free-raes-basic-newborn-pant-sewing.html

They are for a new born and my baby is 6 months so it's no supprising that they are a bit short! But now I know I can go and change the pattern a bit to make them longer.

What do people think of gingham? Too tableclothy/puppet? or cute?

EDIT - I did another pair and made them a lot bigger and made a cute owl patch for them:)

13  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Two new bibs on: October 29, 2010 09:47:04 PM
I keep running out of bibs so I made these two up. I made this pattern myself and I'm going to be making the pattern printable when I get my husband onto it:)
Look at those chubby cheeks!!!!

14  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Tunisian crochet graph help please!!! on: October 22, 2010 05:06:47 PM
I am learning to do Tunisian crochet and I'm working on a small graph to start off with. The only problem I am having is that the stitches seem to be tall so instead of a square graph turning in to a square graphghan it's almost twice as high. I'm using a 4.5 hook and 8 ply wool.

Does anyone having any ideas about what I could do to make the stitch more square? I can't really muck around with using different size hooks as they cost $9 each and i don't want to buy more unless I know that's the problem.

Thanks in advance for your help!!!!
15  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Baby Onesie EDIT: baby wearing it! on: September 30, 2010 02:03:06 AM
I made this for my baby today though I think it's too big - he is asleep so haven't tried it on.

I made it from this tutorial - http://omi-creates.blogspot.com/2010/02/baby-boy-onesie-with-binding-tutorial.html

Thanks for looking!
16  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Felt Roland Drum Machine on: September 12, 2010 06:30:02 PM
I think this would be the right place to post this!

I made this last year for one of my best friends - a felt version of an Roland 808 drum machine.

There are some more images on my blog if anyone is interested. - http://somthinsomthin.tumblr.com/post/1112678751/roland808

My husband made me a 'pattern' by tracing around a photo of an 808 on his computer. Husbands, so handy!

Here is a real 808 except with felt knobs - I was trying them out for how real they looked:)

And here is the finished thing.

17  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / New sewers projects - 3 images on: September 09, 2010 09:39:41 PM
I am quite a new sewer and a new mum so I'm always trying to make thing for my baby. So today I made this 90 minute top tutorial here - http://www.dana-made-it.com/2008/07/tutorial-90-minute-shirt.html

It is made out of a t-shirt for the front and back, the sleeves are from and old singlet and the neck ribbing is from a pair of leggings! I have not tried it on him yet as he is asleep but I can't wait.

I have a friend with a baby on the way but they are not finding out the sex, Heres hoping it's a girl since I made it this Itty Bitty dress which is a free pattern by Made By Rae - http://www.made-by-rae.com/2008/04/free-itty-bitty-baby-dress-pattern.html

I couldn't get any ready made piping and didn't feel like I could make my own so I used Ric Rac instead.

18  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Scott Pilgrim fans help! on: August 28, 2010 09:43:11 PM
Hi there

I want to make an awesome Scott Pilgrim something for my Nephew for Christmas. I can crochet and am learning to sew and can also make felt plushie type things.

I want to make an ami or a plushie or something that is related to Scott Pilgrim, he is a fan of the comics, movie and game.

I would love some suggestions on what I should make. I don't really know anything about Scott Pilgrim and want it to be something that is really good and that he will like.

Thanks for your help!
