2  ROAR-DiNoSaUr Cake in Dessert by sundayafternoonhousewife on: April 22, 2009 08:22:53 PM
I hosted a dino themed baby shower this past weekend and made a dinosaur cake- my first. I got the idea from allrecipes.com, but it came out so great I wanted to share a photo.

I used yellow candy decorations for the spots and blue Wilton candy melts for the scales across the whole back.

Today I got a fabulous package from Destined to Fail. These guys rock so hard and are amazing crafters! My husband said more than once, "They made that?" He is hard to impress. It was a great package!

First, the amazing bag, which I asked for, but never imagined could be some awesome.

It holds my books and my binder AND a stack of ungraded papers. Thanks guys! Inside shot (already holding my junk)

Then, for the first time ever actually, my husband got something from a swap and of course he LOVES it! It is a rooster on a t-shirt:

And finally, as if those two things weren't enough, I got not one, not two, not three, but FOUR painting to hang in my house! Bye Bye Bare WALLS!

The EMU rocks!

Thank you so much Destined to Fail! I LOVE it ALL!!

Windoverireland- I am so happy you like your package. The chocolate scrub is actually a sugar scrub which, in my opinion is even better. I like a sugar scrub because it doesn't burn after shaving! And- You could've licked your fingers if you want, it's all from the kitchen! It's practically a brownie batter minus eggs/flour/oil.... Ha!

Well, I am sorry I haven't posted pics yet: Here is a funny pic of the two boxes that were waiting for me not too long ago. One was normal, the other was nearly as tall as me. I saw it on the porch and thought, "What on earth could be in there?" and then when I went to pick it weighed nothing! I was so anxious to open I made the dog wait to go out...

Inside was a beautiful body pillow. My husband loves it. He says it is the best thing I have ever gotten from a swap! It is on the couch all the time now. It's great

Besides the pillow was a ton of delicious chocolate- most of which has been eaten. I'm down to one box and the mini's- which are so cool! And there was also a bunch of brownie bath bombs, a yarn catcher-very nice! and some hershey lip balm. I have 2 of these now- I got one from another swap. one for purse and one for home now! ha!

The Dagoba bar was prob the best I've ever had. No joke, it was delicious. Thanks for everything Denise!

7  Re: Valentines Embroided Tea towel .:. Send out 02/03 in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by sundayafternoonhousewife on: January 30, 2009 10:40:42 PM
Alright, finally I found the time to get pics up. I need to say I REALLY love what I got. My partner did a great job of finding my likes and she made me some great things.

Here is my wonderful towel. I still can't decide if it will ever go in the kitchen or should just be hung on craft room wall straight away:

Then I got this adorable pair of felt fridge magnets which look eerily similar to something I made for her!

I also got this cute and well-fitting wrist pin cushion. Thanks for making something I asked for!

Also, I got a couple extras- some vday post it notes and a little grow your own dog, which is pretty cute and funny.

Thanks again for everything! I'm putting final touches on yours, FiberArtsy, and plan to send out Monday!

rectangel!!!! Aaaahhhh I love love love what u stitched!!!! It's so AMAZING!!!!! I love my  towel... What the heck am I going to do with it?Huh Possibly hang it on my wall!

BrookOwens, I have my towel from last round on my wall. I figured I would use it, that was until I got it back and loved it too much to imagine what would happen if I used it. It's in my craft room, and I will be putting this one up right next to the last one.

Also, before I forget, here is what I stitched on Therisa's towel. It's a sublime stitching pattern. I have had the mod pad forever and always wanted to stitch the kitty on something. Since Therisa didn't have a theme for her towel, I decided to stitch it for her. And it worked well too, because she got it back and said lavender is her favorite color!

10  Haunted Yard Contest-Ghoulish Graveyard in Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects by sundayafternoonhousewife on: November 02, 2008 07:55:48 AM
I hope I am not too late. If I am, then here they are to enjoy anyway. The contest challenged me to step it up in the yard this year. Here is my entry. I took some day and night pics. The day pics you can see better the decorations, but it looks SO much cooler at night!

I made the ghost based off the one in the October Martha Stewart, but I got a fake white pumpkin for the head so I could use it every year! BOO!

Daytime shot with cobweb fence

Dog chewing on bone adds to the macabre atmosphere... Also you can see the "Latta Manor" sign which I hand painted.  That would be our last name  Wink
