So, I need an opinion. I tried something new today that has been on my mind alot lately. Our Pastor always wears his shirt untucked and I was thinking how kinda cool it would be if he had a shirt with his favorite Bible verse or text from the Bible. This is my first attempt. I think they would make fantastic Pastor gifts. Thoughts?
It is also my intention, as with all of my awareness wreaths, to donate a portion. $$ from this would probably go to my church.
I started making these awareness wreaths and I love making them! To make them weatherproof I've been spraying camp dry on them...does anyone else have any other ideas to help out with protection from the elements?
I have SOOO missed decoupaging. I love shoes, too, to an unhealthy point...HA!! I used to decoupage little girls/kids shoes (check out my previous posts) but I am so frightened by the CPSIA, testing, etc., that I have shied away from it.
This is my latest. I've only shown one shoe, because I ran out of crystals for the second...LOL! I also think that I need to use smaller crystals on the toe. The opening of the shoe (where your foot goes) is not complete, because I don't know what to do with that yet. Probably trim it closely and paint the edge.
The second pic is what they started life at. They are very boring Ecru Enzo's. Blech. Now that I work from home and wear what I please, who needs 'em!?
Hey y'all! I"ve been working on some new mini desk fans. I gave away some to teachers for their end of year gifts (I also sell these, so I ask that you do not totally copy )
I made this last night with fabric that Charlee picked out of my stash. The jeans were a pair that I got from the thrift store for $1.50 and the white tee I got on clearance from Target for .75 last summer. The shirt is an iron on that I made with a the bunny fabric backing. The ruffles on the jeans are sewn on and have a little sparkley ric-rac trim. I made the little ponytail holders with the bottom of the jeans that I trimmed off and a covered button. What do you think? I only had an hour and a half to whip this up....
So with this rainy, rainy few days we are having in Atlanta, I figured I would make some sunhats to brighten my day. I am going to make some rainhats too...what doyou think of these? My Charlee was SOOO excited to model, and has claimed all of them. I guess if I want to sell some, I will need to remake them
I just wanted to share a valentine's day outfit that I made for my little angel. She wore it to preschool and was the talk of the school! She was so proud! The jeans were purchased at a thrift store for 3.00 and I had her pick out different things out of my embellishments that she loved. The appliqued shirt was just the right 'topper'!
Hey y'all! This was my new project today...and boy oh boy did it take awhile! It took me a few tries to get the ruffles just right, but I am very pleased. I was just struck by the beautiful browns in the floral patterns against the teal background, and the dark brown with teal dots coordinated just right. I felt that the applique on the top (onesie) really needed that little bit of 'fancy' font. The pics are a little dark, as it was kind of cloudy today! I'm so proud of me!!
