1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Broken Tree turned Wreath! on: December 03, 2009 07:51:11 PM
This Christmas when I got out the old tree, I found out the base was broken, so I set to work repurposing it! (I later found out you can buy a new base, you don't have to buy a whole new tree like I did, but it's okay, I like my wreath  Cheesy )
I started with a plain grapevine wreath, and spray painted it white, so it would blend in with the artificial branches, then I used the part of the branches that you stick into slots on the tree stem and tucked them into the vines, wiring some in place, but mostly I just shoved them in there so they would stay!  After I got it all together, I added the decorations, but they're not permanent in case I change color themes next year.
YAY!

Has anyone else had a tree break that they made into something else?
