21  Artificial Gingerbread house - it lasts forever in Winter Holidays by bcrafty on: December 07, 2009 04:51:13 AM
Here is a spin on the traditional Gingerbread House. This one is made from foam core board. The picture doesn't do it justice as the house is covered in glitter which doesn't photograph well:

More pictures and a complete tutorial can be found here: http://craftelf.com/Christmas_Foam_Core_Gingerbread_House.htm

23  Bag of Coal Christmas ornament in Winter Holidays by bcrafty on: December 04, 2009 05:32:31 AM
Here is a fun and inexpensive ornament to make. My son actually thought up this idea. He's a member of the local art honor society and they were decorating a naughty and a nice Christmas tree for a local festival of trees and this was one of the ornaments he made for the naughty tree.

24  Re: Gumdrop Christmas Tree in Winter Holidays by bcrafty on: December 03, 2009 03:38:31 PM
I'm glad you like it and  keepitthimble try keeping a dish of gumdrops next to the tree to snack on until it's time to actually eat the tree.

Here is a picture of of a tree made with three colors in a pattern and wrapped up in cellophane for gift giving.

25  Gumdrop Christmas Tree in Winter Holidays by bcrafty on: December 03, 2009 05:21:21 AM
Make some gumdrop trees to decorate your holiday table. They make a great centerpiece and then, you can  let your guests snack on the trees after dinner.

All you need for this project is a styrofoam cone, foil, toothpicks and gumdrops.  Complete tutorial can be found here: http://craftelf.com/Christmas_Gumdrop_Christmas_tree_craft.htm

They also make nice gifts - just wrap it in cellophane and tie with a nice bow.

26  Gumdrop Pumpkin in Halloween Decor and Parties by bcrafty on: September 30, 2009 05:08:55 AM
I came up with a great idea for a yummy centerpiece - a pumpkin made of gumdrops.  For this project you use the orange slice gumdrops. Hope you like it.

Happy Crafting!

27  Felt Elf Christmas Ornament in Winter Holidays by bcrafty on: September 15, 2009 11:17:26 AM
I designed and made quite a few of these elves last year.  They are pretty quick to make if you like to sew.

I made them for all my siblings and nieces and nephews and of course for my children.  To personalize them I wrote their names on the collar with glitter paint in a squeeze bottle.

Complete tutorial and pattern http://craftelf.com/Craft_elf_Christmas_felt_elf_ornament.htm

Hope you like him as much as I do.  Cheesy

If you have some black yarn (it doesn't take much) and a crochet hook you can whip up some cat magnets for Halloween.

You can get a complete tutorial here http://craftelf.com/Crochet_Halloween_Black_Cat_Magnet_.htm

29  Bunny Ears and an Easter Basket made from Plastic Canvas in Easter by bcrafty on: April 08, 2009 06:41:10 AM
I'm so excited about two of the newest Easter crafts I've made.  I wish my daughter was still small enough to wear the bunny ears but there are still a lot of little ones around to enjoy what I make.

One sheet of plastic canvas makes one basket so it is a very inexpensive craft. You could also get some yarn and make designs on each of the sides of the basket and/or stitch the child's name onto the handle.

30  Simple Sock bunny in Easter by bcrafty on: March 03, 2009 05:56:56 AM
Here is a simple bunny made from a sock. You could make a basket full of bunnies for a great display next to the fireplace. Check out your local dollar store for inexpensive socks.

Complete instructions can be found here http://craftelf.com/Easter_Sock_Bunnies.htm

Hope you enjoy this great family craft.
