1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / The "Half-scrapbook" Idea on: May 07, 2007 12:32:36 PM
If you have items (such as menus, travel itinerary, party favors, etc) that you don't want to try to fit into a conventional scrapbook, you could make a "half-scrapbook". A half-scrapbook starts with a file that can hold several folders. You can arrange and separate the folders and items however you want (such as by years, trips, destinations, occasions or events) Then make a little decorative page for each file (or decorate the front of the file itself) with a picture or a drawing. Then you could write the name of the file (the place you visited, the specific trip/occasion/event) and maybe a few important memories (like someone you met/went with, the hotel you stayed in, a restaurant you ate at, date/time, location of the event, etc) on the page. Then as you made more memories,  you could make more files, and if you ever wanted to make a scrapbook, you have all the materials at hand, complete with personalized pages for each memory.

Let me know if you try out this little idea! Have fun!
