Here is mine - it is done in Burgundy and Gold - although next year I think I may switch it up and do either Mauve and Silver or Teal and Silver.

4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Christmas Bunting! on: November 25, 2009 10:06:08 AM

I recently made this Christmas banner for an upcoming craft show I am doing - I wanted something festive to hang on the front of the table - so this is what I came up with. I am quite pleased with how it came out and thought I would share how I did it with you all.

Find some wool sweaters and felt them in the wash.

Cut out some festive shapes

Cut the shapes you chose out of the wool sweaters - because they are felted they shouldn't fray.

Cut out some strips of sweater scraps - 3- 5 inches long

Pick a fabric for the binding

Fold the binding over and sandwich the shapes inbetween, sew closed.

Tie on strips

Voila - you are done - enjoy!!!

Thanks for the great pattern - here is my little one wearing it - funny how it will actually fit me as well - it really depends on how you want it to look.
Love it!!!!

7  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Hamburger!!! on: November 02, 2009 07:25:54 AM
Here is the costume I made for my son - a Hamburger. I have seen hotdog and hamburger costumes and thought they were adorable -  but they are so expensive, so I thought that I would make one. What a job!!! It was a much bigger task than I anticipated, kind of flying by the seat of my pants - while attempting to figure out what will work best. Well, it is done and I love it - my little man looks so funny - he says its "hilarious!!!".
