Here is mine - it is done in Burgundy and Gold - although next year I think I may switch it up and do either Mauve and Silver or Teal and Silver.

Thanks for the great pattern - here is my little one wearing it - funny how it will actually fit me as well - it really depends on how you want it to look.

3  Hamburger!!! in Halloween Costumes by maasive on: November 02, 2009 07:25:54 AM
Here is the costume I made for my son - a Hamburger. I have seen hotdog and hamburger costumes and thought they were adorable -  but they are so expensive, so I thought that I would make one. What a job!!! It was a much bigger task than I anticipated, kind of flying by the seat of my pants - while attempting to figure out what will work best. Well, it is done and I love it - my little man looks so funny - he says its "hilarious!!!".

4  Twirly Whirly Skirt!! in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by maasive on: June 23, 2009 08:45:57 AM
I really like all the twirly skirts for girls that I have been seeing around the blog world. The first one I fell in love with was found on fabric designer Heather Bailey's blog and so it was on my list of things to make this summer for my daughter. I found a pattern on ETSY - it is called the Edith Twirl Skirt. The instructions were clear and it came together quite well. I then went shopping to find a shirt to match and lucky for me Old Navy had the perfect one. I am really happy with how the whole outfit came together, she wore it to church on Sunday and it looked great - I will definitely be making more of these in the future. Now on to the pics - you will notice the little roll of candies I had to give my daughter to get these pics taken - the joys of toddlers - LOL!!!

Links to pattern and Heather Bailey's website are available on my blog - http://thisandthatcraft.blogspot.com/2009/06/twirly-skirt.html
Thanks for looking any comments are welcome
Cheers Smiley

5  Yummy Cake Balls!!! in Dessert by maasive on: February 24, 2009 10:45:08 AM
So I have seen these cake ball creations popping up everywhere and I just had to try and make some - I am pretty happy with how they turned out - I always find you learn so much the first time you make something. Anyway - here they are. I used Chocolate Devils food cake mix and whipped white icing. I have a full tutorial on my blog for those who are interested.

6  More sweaters bite the dust..... in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by maasive on: January 19, 2009 07:37:41 AM
So as many of you know I love to create items from recycled wool sweaters - here are some of my latest and greatest!!! Fingerless gloves - seriously, I can't get enough of them!!! I love the look of them and there are endless possibilities when using felted wool sweaters. I would love to hear what you all think - both the good and the bad!!!

This is a short pair I made - the sweater felted up so small - but I love them anyway.

For those not afraid of color.

Cashmere love!!

Blue and brown stripes - what could be more lovely

Snowflakes - this sweater was such a great find!!!

7  Re: Christmas Stocking Swap Round 4 gallery in The Swap Gallery by maasive on: December 07, 2008 08:48:07 AM
I got my package fron Fruity Loops - she so spoiled me - and I love it all. Really she was such a great partner - we chatted and got to know each other pretty well - I can't wait for her to recieve her package from me - I always feel bad when someone gets to open thiers first. Well, without futher ado - the loot:

The stocking - so pretty - its made with a fun burgundy corduroy and fleece brim. Fun recipe book - I love it - it has really cool black and white pics with recipes - very old world - fun!!! Some Christmas cookie cutters, a cupcake - which is actually a washcloth and lipbalm - very clever! A itty bitty cupcake lipbalm - one of my new faves. Some scapbooking stickers - love them! Some cupcake stencil decorations - the kiddos will love these. And two cute little candles

Onto the crafted items - a beautiful knitted scarflet - it is so pretty and will be great for our Canadian winters. The cutest ever wine glass charms - they came in the little felt cozy. Potholders - so fun - I love the material and  I really needed a new pair.

Some fun treats - I love sour candy - of course the kiddos polished off the roll of candies already - but the rest are in hiding - LOL

Thanks Loops its been a blast!!!

8  Re: Pictures of craft fair setup - Please post! in Tips for Participating in Craft Fairs by maasive on: November 26, 2008 09:01:44 AM
Here is a picture of my craft show set up. I shared a booth with a friend - that is why the table is on an angle - the show wasn't that great - so I am glad that I shared a booth. The turning rack I got from my hubby who works for a cookie company - he had an extra rack so I spray painted it black and it was perfect for hanging my stockings and holiday decorations - I may use it again in the spring for purses etc. My neighbour also scored one from my DH and she uses it to display her hats. Well, enough talk onto the pics...

10  Brimmed hats for boys and girls (4pics) in Crochet: Completed Projects by maasive on: November 13, 2008 09:38:03 AM
Just a few of the hats I made the last few weeks - Pink and brown seems to be really popular with the girls. I also love the newsboy hat - it was made for my nephew - too bad I don't have any male mamequin heads - does anyone know where you can get them - I have only found female heads to display hats.
