I'm about 8mos. pregnant and not really able to move...at all.  So, I've been beading like crazy.  Here's some of the stuff...I still have to put a couple more necklaces together
These are baby barrettes done on a loom, just under 2"
These are just under 3 1/2" long
This measures 4" across
This one's 3 1/2" across
This one's 4"/3"
And I also made a bunch of earrings
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / more hello kitties! on: August 18, 2008 03:20:02 PM
Here are a couple more Hello Kitties.  They're just under 3 1/2" tall.  The red and blue is all cut 13s and the green is 15s and cut 13s.  Hopefully these go at the powwow this weekend  Cheesy

Sorry for the kinda blurry pix.  I had to hurry and take them w/out a flash before my helper grabbed them!  Enjoy!

*don't know why the top two are sideways, they're right in my photobucket  Huh
4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Little Hiawatha pendant for hubby on: March 28, 2008 04:50:30 PM
So, I haven't beaded anything for my husband since we got married almost 8yrs. ago.  So I did this pendant for his birthday as a surprise.  It's done in 13 cuts and 15s.  There's a loop of buckskin in the back of his head to put a necklace through.  He's about four inches tall.  I ended up having to show it to him half done, 'cause it's impossible for me to do anything w/out him seeing.  Anyway, enjoy.

Now I just gotta make a necklace to put it on...
5  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / umm, not a whole quilt, but patchwork headbands on: December 16, 2007 11:04:07 PM
So my older bro. had 3 patchwork headbands he used to wear.  They got passed down to my lil' bro and then my son.  They were pretty wrecked after that--they're 30yrs. old Shocked  My 2nd son now needs a headband, so I figured out this design and made a couple.  Could've pulled my hair out many times, but the boys love 'em Grin

6  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / powwow outfit for my son on: December 04, 2007 11:19:05 AM
My eldest son needed a new outfit, so my hubby decides 2days before the powwow that he's going to make one.   Roll Eyes  The man doesn't sew, but he cut everything out.  I was up 'til all hours, sewed my finger  Shocked, and totally crabby at the powwow...but we got 'er done.  It still needs a lot of embellishment, but ds was happy and was pulling moves we didn't even know he had Cheesy

Thanks for looking  Grin
7  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / baby's winter bonnet on: November 08, 2007 01:48:50 PM
i make baby jackets out of this pendleton print fleece--i always forget to post pix Tongue  and now i make bonnets out of the scraps.  it's lined w/the same winterweight kasha i use in my coats. enjoy... Grin

8  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / *photo added* super mario power star on: November 04, 2007 08:35:20 PM
no action shots cause i whipped it up an hour before we went out, and it's pretty snug.  every place i went was out of fleece, so it's just yellow flannel w/felt eyes glued one.  at any rate, it worked for the night.

thanks for looking...and oh, the whole fam. went as a mario character.

9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / my ace skirt and apron on: October 11, 2007 07:11:57 PM
whipped up this skirt for the salmon feast last month, never got pix of me in it, and i didn't have time to iron it.  so, it lays a little better than it looks in the pix.  but i had to rush and take pix before baby wakes up from his umpteenth 10min. nap  Sad

i don't have much experience w/applique, so i'm pretty proud of these:

thanks for looking, enjoy the rest of your evening  Grin

*i don't know why the top two won't rotate Huh
10  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / question for diaper makers on: October 11, 2007 12:33:18 PM
so, i've been cloth diapering forever, and after dealing w/huge flats and rubber pants w/the first two, i got all obsessed w/AIO's for #4.    One brand has been great, another isn't fitting right and i'm out a dozen dipes.  so i've been checking brand after brand and i think i might just prefer to make my own.  but then i got an idea and was wondering how it would work...so my question is this:  can i use a fitted pattern and just stick a layer of PUL in there to make it an AIO?  'cause i've been almost everywhere and haven't heard of anyone doing this...

and also:  do i have to use PUL, or could i use the h2oproof windbreaker at the local fabric store?

thanks in advance for any tips  Grin
