1  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Is interfacing necessary for applique? on: January 04, 2011 04:23:45 PM
Thanks so much! It never occured to me to cut the interfacing smaller! Undecided
2  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Is interfacing necessary for applique? on: January 04, 2011 02:49:51 PM
I have some fabric letters that just so happen to spell my name. I was hoping to attach them to a quilt top. Is it possible just to pin them in place and satin stitch around the edges or is it a must to use interfacing? Since the letters are already cut out how would I add interfacing at this point?
3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: Sweet little felt owl ornaments on: December 18, 2010 06:42:54 AM

I am probably insane but I think I'm going to have to sign up for my very first swap! Now if only I wasn't also starting my first semester of nursing school in 1 week! I'm so noisy I just can't wait to read 100 things about my partner
5  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: HELP! NEED URGENT OPINIONS!! on: May 22, 2008 08:44:02 AM
Personally, I absolutly love your picture! I would be flattered if someone gave this to me. I do think it looks like them and it is a little quirky and cute at the same time! I wouldn't change a bit and I would definitly give it to them!
6  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: Cat Walking Jacket on: May 14, 2008 11:10:36 AM
We had a cute "little" bengal kitten as well. Except now he's 10 months old and not so "little". He's about 17 pounds now!! Beware..you will soon have a very "BIG" loveable kitty!!! He's still the sweetest thing in the world though.
7  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Transparent Nylon thread safe for baby quilt?? on: May 10, 2008 03:18:32 PM
Here is a pic of a small section of it..the rest of the quilt is just the same idea over and over again. It's hanging on my craftline too thats why it looks so crooked.

8  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Transparent Nylon thread safe for baby quilt?? on: May 10, 2008 01:38:15 PM
Thanks a bunch!! I figured it was a bad idea, but after a marathon 5 hour homework session I really don't feel like running to JoAnns for some coordinating cotton thread! Oh well...that's a project to finish for another day!!
9  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Transparent Nylon thread safe for baby quilt?? on: May 10, 2008 11:06:50 AM
I'm finishing up a baby quilt (to stash for when I have one of my own!!) and I really don't want visible thread for the quilting. I'm doing "in the ditch" quilting but the thread will still show some. Is it safe to use transparent nylon thread?? I don't want to make anything dangerous and not be able to use it!!
