Your socks look great--nice job! I really like the Broadripple pattern. It's one of my the favorite sock patterns I've knit. Excellent choice!

I've always liked this pattern--been meaning to do it for a while now. Yours looks great!
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: grandma project on: August 03, 2007 05:02:04 PM
Just a suggestion--I made my grandma a felted basket with a handle and a felted rose on the side. (The basket pattern was from the book Treasury of Magical Knitting.) She really liked it--I gave it to her filled with small size lotions and soaps, and my mom was so jealous of the whole thing that I had to make one for her too.

I'll be curious to see what other responses you get--it's always really hard to think of what to give to my grandma. I'd love to know what you decide.

Nice job--those look great. I think you'll really like the Broadripple sock. I knitted them a few months ago, and they're some of my favorites. Hope you'll post pictures of those too.

I love the V-neck. What a great idea--I like the pattern much better with the neckline you designed.

8  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Favorite Etsy Sock yarn? on: June 20, 2007 09:09:37 AM
I'm a fan of Fearless Fibers (http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=32548) sock yarns. Interesting colorways and high quality yarn.

Love the colors in these--great job.

Just wondering: do you wash the blankets before you attach the fabric backing? I like the idea of a cotton blanket, but I don't know if Sugar & Cream shrinks much.

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks so much for the detailed instructions--you made it look very do-able. Great project--I'll start one as soon as I find a cool book to tear apart.

I appreciate the time you took to write the tute!
